चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम के सब डिवीज़न नम्बर 10 द्वारा धूमधाम से मनाया गया लोहड़ी का त्यौहार

Chandigarh, Jan.13, 2025:- चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम वार्ड के अधीन आते सब डिवीजन नंबर 10 द्वारा सेक्टर 52 के कम्युनिटी सेन्टर में लोहड़ी पर्व समारोह हर्षोल्लास व धूमधाम से मनाया गया। जिसमें वार्ड  पार्षद लखबीर सिंह, वार्ड नंबर 24 के पार्षद जसवीर बंटी,  एसडीओ बलराज, एसडीओ सुरेश, भुवनेश भट्टी सुपरवाइजर ने मिलकर बिल्डिंग रोड्स के कर्मचारियों के साथ लोहड़ी समारोह का आयोजन किया । जिसमें सारे स्टाफ को मूंगफली, रेवड़ी, गच्चक और पॉपकॉर्न आदि सामान वितरित किया गया।  लोहड़ी की शुरुआत रीति रिवाज के साथ लकड़ियों को जला कर की गई।इसके बाद समारोह में मौजूद सभी जन ने  मूंगफली, पॉपकॉर्न और रेवड़ी इत्यादि को अग्नि में सम्माहित किया।

इस मौके पर पार्षदों ने सबको नए साल, लोहडी और मकर संक्रांति की मुबारकबाद दी।

Ashmah International School Celebrated Lohri with Zeal

Mohali, Jan.13, 2025:-Ashmah International School, Sector 70 Mohali celebrated Lohri at the school campus, where a huge bonfire was lit, later the celebration  was followed by  a colorful function to make it memorable , where children also  get opportunity  to  showcase their talents in unique manner .  The celebration commenced after lighten the bonfire by J.S. Kesar (I.A.S. Retd.)  Director, Ashmah International School. Students and staff encircled around the bonfire, Groundnuts and Reweri were also distributed to everyone present there and gave it a traditional look.

While highlighting the importance of the festival, Director of the school, J.S. Kesar (I.A.S. Retd.)Said that it is an auspicious day, which marked the culmination of winter and was a symbol of fertility. He further added that Lohri is a grand event of social and cultural integration, bringing about unity, amity, harmony among all castes and community. While celebrating this festival people from all castes and social strata come together forgetting all differences and grievances.He later, applauded  the students and staff & encouraged that  Lohri should be celebrated especially for girl also unlike in the past when it was celebrated for baby boy born in the family, but not for girls.

सामाजिक दायित्व का निर्वाह कर इनर व्हील क्लब चंडीगढ़ सिटी ब्यूटीफुल ने अनोखे ढंग से मनाई लोहड़ी

Chandigarh, Jan.13, 2025:- इनर व्हील क्लब चंडीगढ़ सिटी ब्यूटीफुल ने इस वर्ष लोहड़ी का पर्व एक विशेष और सामुदायिक दृष्टिकोण से मनाया। क्लब ने सेक्टर 21 में आयोजित इस आयोजन के दौरान आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर बुजुर्ग महिलाओं को राशन वितरित किया। इसके साथ ही बच्चों को पारंपरिक लोहड़ी  मूंगफली, रेवाड़ी और गचक वितरित की गईं, जो इस पर्व की विशेषता मानी जाती हैं। इस पहल से क्लब ने न केवल पारंपरिक उत्सव को मनाया, बल्कि समाज के कमजोर वर्ग के प्रति अपनी संवेदनशीलता और जिम्मेदारी भी व्यक्त की।  

यह आयोजन क्लब की प्रेसिडेंट अनिता मिड्ढा के नेतृत्व में आयोजित किया गया था जिसमें उनके साथ क्लब की चार्टर प्रेसिडेंट उषा शर्मा, वाईस प्रेसिडेंट सरबानी दत्ता, मोनिका गुप्ता, कुलविंदर कौर, वीना धीर, रीनू, संगीता, पलक, शिवाली, नैंसी होरा और अन्य सदस्य भी उपस्थित थे।

आयोजन के दौरान क्लब की महिलाओं ने ढोल की थाप पर पारंपरिक पंजाबी डांस किया, जिससे वातावरण में उत्साह और उल्लास का संचार हुआ। सभी महिलाएं पारंपरिक पंजाबी पोशाक में सजी हुई थीं, जिससे कार्यक्रम में एक सांस्कृतिक रंग दिखाई दिया। बच्चों ने अपनी मनमोहक कविताओं के जरिए सबका मनोरंजन किया, जिससे इस खास दिन की यादें और भी खास बन गईं। यह कार्यक्रम न केवल एक सांस्कृतिक उत्सव था, बल्कि यह समाज के प्रति क्लब की प्रतिबद्धता और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी का भी प्रतीक बन गया।

क्लब की प्रेसिडेंट, अनिता मिड्ढा ने इस अवसर पर अपने विचार साझा करते हुए कहा कि हमारा उद्देश्य केवल लोहड़ी का पर्व मनाना नहीं था, बल्कि इस मौके पर हमें समाज के कमजोर वर्ग के साथ अपना प्यार और सहयोग साझा करना था। इस तरह के आयोजन हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि त्योहारों का असली उद्देश्य केवल खुशी मनाना नहीं, बल्कि हम एक-दूसरे की मदद कर और समाज में सकारात्मक बदलाव ला सकते हैं।

The occasion brought together students, staff, and management in a colorful display of cultural pride, unity, and reverence for this cherished tradition.

Lohri, a festival of gratitude and renewal, honors the hard work of farmers and the abundance of harvests. Symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, the festival is steeped in values of thankfulness, prosperity, and togetherness. This spirit was beautifully reflected at CGC Jhanjeri, where the campus transformed into a hub of traditional joy and cultural expression.

The celebrations began with electrifying folk performances featuring Punjabi songs, bhangra, and gidda, filling the air with energy and excitement. The beats of the dhol resonated across the campus, inviting everyone to join the rhythm of the festivities. A sacred bonfire, the symbolic heart of Lohri, was lit with prayers for a prosperous year ahead, uniting everyone in a shared moment of hope and blessings.

Chandigarh Polo Club Emerges as Winner in a Thrilling Finale at Maghi Mela

Chandigarh, Jan.13, 2025:-The Chandigarh Polo Club (CPC) clinched a spectacular victory in the third and final round of the exhibition polo match series at the Maghi Mela (Sri Muktsar Sahib) defeating Col Warraich Warriors 4-3 in a nail-biting finish. The three polo exhibition match series  was part of the Punjab Horse Show, showcased exceptional sportsmanship and drew an impressive crowd of polo and horse enthusiasts to celebrate the sport's introduction to Punjab's Malwa region.

Dilpreet Singh Sidhu led CPC to victory, scoring two crucial goals, while his teammates Jitender Singh and Amaan Warring contributed a goal each. From the opposing side, Col Tarsem Warraich impressed with two goals, and Bhanu Partap Godara added a third to keep the match closely contested.

The event was graced by prominent personalities,including Member of Parliament Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Inspector General Mandeep Singh (IPS), Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Gurdit. and veteran horseman of the region Rahul Sidhu.

CPC's President Dilpreet Singh Sidhu expressed his delight at the success of the series and outlined ambitious plans to elevate the event. AIHM Celebrates Lohri Festival with Great Cheerfulness

meticulously organized and executed by the final-year students of AIHM to celebrate the harvest season and recognize the cultural and traditional importance of Lohri.

The event featured traditional bonfire, vibrant folk dances like Bhangra and Giddha, festive 

delicacies and skit performance. The celebration brought together students, faculty, and staff in a joyous display of unity and cultural pride which made the event a great success. 

The vibrant beats of the dhol, and the warmth of the bonfire created an unforgettable atmosphere. Everyone enthusiastically took part in the celebrations, immersing themselves in the rich tradition and culture of Punjab.

Mrs. Shalini sachdeva (HOD), was delighted to see the efforts of the students for the event and in her words that lohri is not just a festival; it is a celebration of hard work, gratitude and new beginnings. It is heartwarming to see our students and staff come together to honour this beautiful tradition.

Chandigarh, Jan.10, 2025:-फुटवियर डिजाइन एंड डेवलपमेंट इंस्टीट्यूट (एफडीडीआई) के बनूर परिसर में दूसरा दीक्षांत समारोह आयोजित किया गया। एफडीडीआई भारत सरकार के वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय द्वारा स्थापित एक राष्ट्रीय महत्व का संस्थान है।                                     दीक्षांत समारोह में पंजाब के राज्यपाल एवं चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासक गुलाब चंद कटारिया मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शामिल हुए। समारोह की शुरुआत मुख्य अतिथि संस्थान के प्रबंध सचिव कर्नल पंकज सिन्हा और संस्थान की कार्यकारी निदेशक सुश्री प्रज्ञा सिंह ने दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर और राष्ट्रगान गाकर किया।

Mohali, Jan.10, 2025:-Shemrock Senior secondary School, Sector 69 organized the Stem education workshop at its campus.Stem education is already implemented across more than 112 countries. Stem is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. These areas together are essential for student success. These fields are deeply intertwined in the real world. Stem is an interdisciplinary and applied approach which is coupled with hands-on, problem-based learning.

 

The training program, attended by 50 teachers from various disciplines, was designed to transform traditional pedagogical approaches. Led by Ms. Ritika Khurana an expert facilitator in STEM education, the sessions focused on experiential learning, interdisciplinary teaching strategies, and the use of technology to inspire innovation.

Highlights of the program included hands-on interactive activities, designing prototypes encouraging educators to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment. Teachers worked in teams to design and present STEM lesson plans, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity. Stem programme promotes using mostly recyclable material, students construct models such as gliders, submarines, hovercrafts, balloon car, catapult, bio-batteries and parachutes, as a part of their science classes in school. The level of difficulty progresses with each class, as per syllabus, from catapults, aero-modelling, contraption building, to robotic programming.

 

While speaking at the moment Principal Parneet Sohal said that science and technology from a young age and to develop inclination towards these subjects using inquiry methods and to develop problem solving skills. This programme helps to draw real world connections to the workforce and community. Stem projects also provide self-directed, challenge-based learning rather than simply absorbing and regurgitating facts.

Double Defeats for UT Girls, Lost to Vidarbha in Under 19 ODI while Delhi Beats in T20 Fixture

Chandigarh,  Jan.10, 2025:-UT girls suffered a two wicket defeat against Vidarbha at the ongoing Women's Under 19 ODI tournament being played at Surat, Chandigarh while opting to bat first was bundled out for mere 160 runs in 49 overs wherein Deepti Walia scored 49 and Taisha Manchanda and skipper Gulnaz added 30 and 24 runs respectively. In reply, Vidarbha, which lost half of its team for 106 runs,  was powered by Dharavi  (46) who brought her team closer to target. Team surpassed the target at the loss of eight wickets in 42^nd over. Opener Aaruhi scored 40 runs. Jais, Aahan Vaid and took two wickets each.

Meanwhile, Chandigarh faced another defeat in the Women's Under 23 T20 tournament when  Delhi outclassed Chandigarh by 34 runs. Batting first, Delhi made 131/7 runs with the decent contributions from Monika (29) and Mansi (25). In reply, Chandigarh collapsed at 97 in 19.5 overs as Sarah (45) emerged as the top scorer.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Ridip Saikia shared that the incidence and prevalence of brain tumors is growing rapidly in India. Every year 40,000 to 50,000 people are diagnosed with brain tumour which reduces life expectancy by 20 years. These statistics are shocking.

Some common symptoms that people experience for brain tumors are headaches (typically worst in early mornings), vomiting, seizures, weakness of one or the other part of the body, difficulty in seeing or hearing or understanding. The treatment of brain tumour consists of removal of the tumour (for reducing pressure on normal structures as early as possible, and to obtain definite biopsy of lesion for characterisation and prognostication), followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy for Malignant lesions only. Advanced technologies like neuro navigation have made it possible for the neuro surgeons to venture in areas which were, for long, considered to be unapproachable or have unacceptable levels of risk of injury. For safe conduct of these surgeries and the intensive post op care, which is half the care, it is desirable to have a dedicated neuro ICU with trained manpower and appropriate equipment which improves the results dramatically.

The most fatal in terms of road accidents and there were 6122 accidents and 4688 deaths alone in Punjab in 2022.

Dr Neha also shared that 70% of lives in road accidents are lost due to over speeding.

Over speeding and not wearing seat belts are major cases of Head Injuries in Trauma cases in India.

Mayor Elections-Chandigarh Congress Holds Councillors Meeting

Chandigarh, Jan.10, 2025:-A meeting of councillors of the Congress party was held today under the leadership of city MP Manish Tewari and President of Chandigarh Congress H.S Lucky today at Lucky's residence in sector 8, Chandigarh..

According to Rajiv Sharma, Chief Spokesperson of Chandigarh Congress, the agenda of the meeting was to deliberate on various knotty problems being faced by the city in the light of anti-Chandigarh stand consistently being taken by the local BJP and Chandigarh Administration. While addressing the councillors, Manish Tewari and H.S. Lucky gave some suggestions to the councillors to work day and night to serve the people of the city, who have high hopes from the Congress party.

The Congress spokesperson further stated that from media reports, it appeared that a councillor of Aam Aadmi party had decided to challenge the notification to elect the city mayor and matter could be sub-judice, hence the mayoral election was not discussed at the meeting, which primarily remained confined to discussing the crucial issues facing the city.

Besides the congress councillors, Yadwinder Mehta and Dilawar Singh, who are also  office bearers of the party, also attended the meeting, being respective spouses of the two women councillors.

Another follow-up meeting of senior office bearers of the party is scheduled to be held tomorrow at sector 35. Congress Bhawan, where the party activists will hold  further deliberations on the agenda discussed in today's meeting.

जिला उपायुक्त हेमराज बैरवा ने संत निरंकारी मिशन द्वारा किए गए इससे योग के लिए सद्गुरु माता सुदीक्षा जी महाराज स्थानीय इकाई के प्रबंधकों का विशेष आभार धन्यवाद किया। उन्होंने मिशन दोबारा किए गए इस पुनीत कार्य के लिए भी उनकी सराहना की उन्होंने कहा कि निरंकारी मिशन के श्रद्धालु सदैव सामाजिक कार्यों में बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लेते हैं तथा समाज को सहयोग देने में इनकी जितनी प्रशंसा की जाए  कम है।निरंकारी मिशन के इस पहल को समाज सेवा का अनुकरणीय उदाहरण बताया।

जिला स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी और क्षय रोग जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी डॉ. राजेश सूद ने कहा कि टीबी केवल एक मेडिकल समस्या नहीं बल्कि सामाजिक समस्या भी है। उन्होंने इस बीमारी से जुड़ी भ्रांतियों और भेदभाव पर चिंता व्यक्त की और कहा कि इन कारणों से कई मरीज असामयिक मृत्यु का शिकार हो जाते हैं। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि टीबी का इलाज शुरू होने के बाद मरीज संक्रामक नहीं रहता और उसे अलग रहने की जरूरत नहीं होती।

Highlighting the league's growing impact, Puneet Singh reflected on CCL's journey since its inception in 2011. Chandigarh, Jan.08, 2025:-प्रशासन द्वारा इस वर्ष के मेयर चुनाव की अधिसूचना जारी किए जाने के बाद चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस ने आगामी 24 तारीख को होने वाले चुनावों की तैयारियां शुरू कर दी हैं।

परसों 10 तारीख़ से चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष एच.एस. लक्की ने प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के पार्टी के वरिष्ठ पदाधिकारियों, पार्षदों और फ्रंटल संगठनों तथा प्रकोष्ठों के प्रमुखों की अलग-अलग बैठकें बुलाई हैं, ताकि इन चुनावों के लिए व्यापक रणनीति बनाई जा सके।

चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस के मुख्य प्रवक्ता राजीव शर्मा ने आशंका व्यक्त की कि भाजपा के पास अपने पुराने और लम्बे समय से सक्रिय कार्यकर्ताओं में से मेयर पद के लिए कोई उपयुक्त उम्मीदवार नहीं है, इसलिए इस बात की प्रबल सम्भावना है कि इस पद के लिए वह कांग्रेस के टिकट पर जीते उम्मीदवार को मैदान में उतारने पर मजबूर हो सकती है, जिससे पार्टी के पुराने दिग्गजों में बेचैनी चल रही है। कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि भाजपा अपनी आंतरिक समस्याओं से निपटने के लिए सदन के जनादेश को अलोकतांत्रिक तरीकों का सहारा लेकर छीनने की कोशिश कर सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले साल चुनाव के दौरान उन्होंने जो कुछ भी किया, उसकी कड़वी यादें अभी भी शहरवासियों के मन में ताजा हैं।

 कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता ने आगे बताया कि  पार्टी की इन बैठकों में चंडीगढ़ की जनता के सामने भाजपा द्वारा की जा रही खरीद-फरोख्त की कोशिशों और सम्भावित चुनावी धांधलियों को चण्डीगढ़ वासियों के सामने उजागर करने पर ज़ोर दिया जाएगा। 

इस बीच, कांग्रेस पार्टी के नेता आम आदमी पार्टी के नेताओं के साथ लगातार संपर्क में हैं ताकि दोनो पार्टियों के बीच सुचारू समन्वय सुनिश्चित किया जा सके। 

Awareness on Importance of ‘Golden Hour’ after Road Accident must: Dr Sukhpal Singh

Amritsar, January 08, 2025:-To create awareness on 'Rising trends of road accident & trauma services in North India" a team of doctors from LIVASA Hospital, Amritsar addressed the media person here today. Present on the occasion were: Dr Sukhpal Singh, consultant orthopedics & joint replacement, Dr Amiteshwar Singh consultant plastic surgery, Dr Amanjot Singh consultant neurosurgery, Dr Manish Gupta consultant critical care and Dr Prabhapreet Singh consultant emergency medicine from LIVASA Hospital,Amritsar. 

Speaking on the occasion Dr Sukhpal Singh said that it is very unfortunate to note that in the last 12 years there has been a drop of 5% in road accidents globally, whereas it has increased by 15.3% in India.  Road accidents contribute to 83 % of all traffic related deaths in India. People should know the importance of the 'Golden Hour' concept, which means the first 60 minutes after any accident are most important. If the right patient reaches the right place at the right time, a lot of lives can be saved. He also shared that roads in Punjab are very fatal in terms of road accidents and there were 6122 road accidents & 4688 deaths in road accidents in Punjab in 2022.

Dr Sukhpal also shared that 70% of lives in road accidents are lost due to over speeding.

Sharing his view on this occasion, Dr Amiteshwar Singh said that more 460 deaths a day are forcing India to take trauma accidents seriously. 460 deaths every day is equivalent to a jumbo jet crash every day. India accounts for just 1% of the global vehicular population and has the highest number of accident related deaths across the Globe. He also said that most of the accidents apart from head injury, motorists also suffer thoracic and GI injuries as well, which are equally fatal, if not treated in a fully equipped trauma center.

Dr Amiteshwar shared that at  LIVASA Hospital Amritsar, our trauma team consists of orthopedic surgeon, thoracic surgeon, GI surgeon, plastic surgeon, neurosurgeon, anesthetist and ER physician and hospital has got 05 modular OTs, in house blood bank, in-house  CT and  tesla MRI scan  to deals with any type of trauma injuries.

Dr Amanjot Singh Boparai said over speeding and not wearing seat belts are major cases of head injuries in trauma cases in India.

In addition to these drunken driving, jumping red lights, distraction to drivers, non-adherence to driving lanes and overtaking from the wrong side are other reasons for road accidents in India.

Dr Amanjot also shared that two-wheelers are one of the most unsafe modes of transport. According to an UN Motorcycle Helmet Study motorcyclists are 26 times more likely to die in a road crash than drivers of passenger cars. He informed that wearing an appropriate helmet improves their chances of survival by 42% and reduces the risk of Brain Injury by 74 %.

Dr Manish Gupta said that India is amongst the world leaders in road traffic deaths. In India, over 78% of vehicles on the road are two-wheelers and they account for about 29 % of road accidents. Brain is one of the most sensitive organs of our body, which comes under impact in any road accident. Wearing a good helmet and tying it properly can prevent loss of lives in 90 percent of accident cases.

Dr Prabhapreet Singh, said that with 5 hospitals, 750 beds, 280 ICU beds and 20 OTS, LIVASA Hospital is the biggest trauma service provider in the entire Punjab. With our 6 ACLS ambulances based out of different drainage areas, we cater to 16 districts of Punjab and 08 districts of Himachal and the entire Jammu region for trauma services.

वोटिंग की सीसीटीवी फुटेज छिपाने के लिए नियमों में किया गया संशोधन दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण: कांग्रेस

Chandigarh, Jan.07, 2025:-चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त द्वारा दिल्ली में आज इस आशय की घोषणा कि मतदान प्रक्रिया के दौरान मतदान केंद्रों की सीसीटीवी फुटेज जनता या उम्मीदवारों के साथ सांझा नहीं की जाएगी, की कड़ी  आलोचना की है।  

चुनाव आयोग और भाजपा सरकार द्वारा मतदान के दौरान चुनावी गड़बड़ियों को छिपाने के कुत्सित प्रयासों पर कांग्रेस पार्टी द्वारा महसूस किए जा रहे दर्द को रेखांकित करते हुए, चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस के मुख्य प्रवक्ता राजीव शर्मा ने आज यहां कहा कि चुनाव संचालन नियम, जिसके तहत उम्मीदवार को चुनाव से संबंधित दस्तावेज दिखाने का प्रावधान है, को पिछले महीने आनन फ़ानन में संशोधित कर दिया, क्यों कि 09 दिसम्बर 2024 को पंजाब और हरियाणा उच्च न्यायालय ने चुनाव आयोग को हरियाणा विधानसभा चुनावों के दौरान मतदान केंद्रों की सीसीटीवी फुटेज को पिटीशनर को जारी करने के निर्देश जारी कर दिए थे। कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता ने आरोप लगाया कि चुनाव नियमों में यह संशोधन विशेष रूप से इसलिए किया गया ताकि जनता को मतदान के दौरान की गई चुनावी गड़बड़ियों को न देख सके। प्रवक्ता ने चुनाव आयोग पर देश में स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनावों के संचालन पर लोगों द्वारा उठाए गए गंभीर संदेहों का कोई संतोषजनक जवाब नहीं देने का भी आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने कहा कि मतदान के दौरान सीसीटीवी फुटेज की सार्वजनिक जांच को रोकने के लिए नियमों में जल्दबाजी में किया यह संशोधन मतदाताओं के संदेह और आशंकाओं को और भी बढ़ा देता है।

चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस ने केंद्र सरकार से अपील की है कि वह उच्च न्यायालय के 09 दिसंबर, 2024 के आदेश को लागू करे और चुनाव नियमों में हाल ही में किए गए जनविरोधी संशोधन को रद्द करके हरियाणा विधानसभा चुनावों मे वोटिंग के दौरान कुछ मतदान केंद्रों के सीसीटीवी फुटेज को सार्वजनिक करे।

चंडीगढ़ व हरियाणा ने जीती सीनियर नेशनल खो-खो चैंपियनशिप 2024-2025

Chandigarh, Jan.07, 2025:-पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी में आयोजित सीनियर नेशनल खो-खो चैंपियनशिप मंगलवार को समाप्त हो गई। बता दें कि खो-खो स्पोर्ट्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ चंडीगढ़ (खो-खो इंडिया से संबद्ध) द्वारा आयोजित की गई थी।

खो खो के फाइनल मुकाबले में गर्ल्स में चंडीगढ़ बनाम हरियाणा तथा बॉयज में हरियाणा और दिल्ली के बीच खेला गया। जिनमें चंडीगढ़ की गर्ल्स टीम ने हरियाणा को 9 पॉइंट्स 1 पारी से हराया। जबकि हरियाणा ने दिल्ली को 3 पॉइंट्स 1 टर्न से हरा कर चैंपियनशिप जीत ली।

हरियाणा की गर्ल्स टीम ने टॉस जीता और पहले डिफेंस करने का निर्णय लिया। चंडीगढ़ की गर्ल्स टीम ने अपनी पारी में 10 पॉइंट्स अर्जित किए जबकि हरियाणा अपनी पारी में 1 पॉइंट ही बना पाई, जिससे यह मुकाबला चंडीगढ़ की खिलाड़ी लड़कियों ने 9 पॉइंट्स 1 टर्न से जीत लिया और चैंपियनशिप अपने नाम कर ली। चैंपियनशिप में निकिता को बेस्ट प्लेयर घोषित किया गया।

वहीं दूसरी तरफ, हरियाणा बॉयज ने टॉस जीता और अटैक करने का निर्णय लिया। हरियाणा ने अपनी पारी में 13 पॉइंट्स बनाये, जिसे दिल्ली भेद नही पाई और 10 पॉइंट्स ही बना पाई, जिससे हरियाणा इस मुकाबले को 3 पॉइंट्स से जीत गई और चैंपियनशिप अपने नाम कर गई। चैंपियनशिप में हरियाणा के अमित को बेस्ट प्लेयर घोषित किया गया।

इस अवसर पर मुख्यातिथि के तौर पंजाब स्टेट ह्यूमन राइट्स कमीशन के चेयरमैन जस्टिस संत प्रकाश ने शिरकत की, इस दौरान उनके साथ खो-खो स्पोर्ट्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ चंडीगढ़ के प्रेसिडेंट दीपक महाजन; जनरल सेक्रेटरी परमजीत सिंह राजपूत, कोषाध्यक्ष अखिलेश सक्सेना,  कोच, ऑफिशियल उपस्थित थे। मुख्यातिथि द्वारा चैंपियनशिप में जीती चंडीगढ़ व हरियाणा की गर्ल्स और बॉयज की टीम को ट्रॉफी व प्रमाण पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया।

एसोसिएशन के जनरल सेक्रेटरी, परमजीत सिंह राजपूत ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि इस प्रतिष्ठित चैंपियनशिप में 25 राज्यों की पुरुष टीमों और 20 राज्यों की महिला टीमों के खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया था।उन्होंने बताया कि चैंपियनशिप का उद्घाटन एशियन खो-खो फेडरेशन की जनरल सेक्रेटरी, रानी तिवारी, द्वारा किया गया था। चैंपियनशिप के दौरान भारतीय जनता पार्टी के जिला अध्यक्ष रवींद्र जोशी ने भी शिरकत की थी और खिलाड़ियों से मुलाकात कर उनका उत्साह बढ़ाया था।

पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी में आयोजित मुकाबलों में चंडीगढ़ गर्ल्स की टीम ने हिमाचल गर्ल्स टीम को कड़ी टक्कर देते हुए 14 पॉइंट्स से जीत हासिल की। इस मुकाबले में चंडीगढ़ ने टॉस जीता और डिफेंस करने का निर्णय लिया। चंडीगढ़ ने अपनी पारी में अटैक करते हुए 18 पॉइंट अर्जित किए जबकि दूसरी पारी में हिमाचल ने अटैक करते हुए 4 पॉइंट अर्जित किए। इस प्रकार चंडीगढ़ ने यह मैच 14 पॉइंट्स से जीत लिया और फाइनल में अपनी जगह बनाई। 

वहीं गर्ल्स के सेमीफाइनल मैच में हरियाणा ने दिल्ली को 6 पॉइंट्स से हरा कर फाइनल में जगह बनाई। 

बॉयज में दिल्ली का मुकाबला तमिलनाडु बहुत ही रोचक रहा। इसमें दिल्ली ने यह मुकाबला 1 पॉइंट्स से जीत लिया और फाइनल।में जगह बना ली।

वहीं फाइनल (बॉयज) के लिए हुए चंडीगढ़ और हरियाणा के मुकाबले में हरियाणा ने चंडीगढ़ को 2 पॉइंट्स से हरा दिया और फाइनल।में जगह बना ली।

खो-खो स्पोर्ट्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ चंडीगढ़ के जनरल सेक्रेटरी, परमजीत सिंह राजपूत ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि 7 जनवरी को फाइनल में पहुंची टीमों का मुकाबला होगा जिनमें बॉयज व गर्ल्स वर्ग की विजेता टीम को चैंपियनशिप ट्रॉफी व मैडल देकर सम्मानित किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इस चैंपियनशिप का उद्देश्य खो-खो खेल को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर बढ़ावा देना, प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ियों को एक मंच प्रदान करना है। इसके साथ ही, खिलाड़ियों में टीम भावना और खेल कौशल को निखारना भी हमारा लक्ष्य है।

UT Girls Beat Mizoram by 101 Runs in U23 T20, Faced 224 Runs Defeat against Maharashtra in U19 ODI

Chandigarh, Jan.06, 2025:-UT girls registered their second consecutive win at the ongoing Women's Under 23 T20 being played at Jamshedpur on Monday as  Chandigarh beat Mizoram by 101 runs.  Chandigarh opted to bat first and scored 138/3 wherein wicketkeeper batter Sarah (43) and Bhavana Rathore (39) made vital contributions. In reply, Mizoram fell early at mere  37 runs against the  lethal bowling attack led by Ishana Chaddha (3/4), Pushpa Bishnoi (3/4) and Mannu (2/11). Half the team went back without troubling the score while Rinsaimi (8) was the top scorer. Chandigarh's next match is scheduled against Tamil Nadu on January 8.

Meanwhile, in the Women's Under 19 ODI tournament being played at Surat, Chandigarh faced a humiliating defeat of 224 runs against Maharashtra. In reply to Maharashtra's 287/6, UT girls were bundled out for just 63 runs. Jasmeet Baidwan (16) emerged as the top scorer. The team will face Mizoram in its third match on January 8.

श्रद्धा और सत्कार से मनाया गया श्री गुरु गोबिंद सिंह जी का प्रकाश पर्व

Chandigarh, Jan.06, 2025:-23 पोह नानक शाही सम्वत 556 की अनुसार आज  6 जनवरी को समूह नानक नाम लेवा सांगत समूची दुनिया में  साहिबे कमाल साहिब श्री गुरु गोबिंद सिंह जी का प्रकाश पर्व मना रही है इसी पावन दिवस को आज गुरद्वारा कलगीधर खेड़ी में श्रद्धा और सत्कार से मनाया गया और कथा -कीर्तन दीवान सजाये गए जिनमें विशेष तौर पर श्री दरबार साहिब अमृतसर साहिब से आये रागी जत्थों ने हाजरी भरी।  प्रकाश पर्व के सम्बन्ध में दो दिन पहले से श्री अखंड पाठ रखे गए जिनके भोग डाले गए उपरांत कथा -कीर्तन समागम आरम्भ किये गए जिनमें भाई दलजीत सिंह जी 'नाद' हजूरी रागी श्री दरबार साहिब अमृतसर, भाई तेजिंदर सिंह जी शिमले वाले हजूरी रागी श्री दरबार साहिब अमृतसर, भाई गुरतेग सिंह जी चंडीगढ़ वाले, इस्त्री सत्संग जथा गुरद्वारा कलगीधर खेड़ी सेक्टर 20, भाई रणजीत सिंह जी यमुनानगर वाले तथा भाई गुरदीप सिंह जी आनंदपुर साहिब वालों ने कीर्तन हाजरी भरी ।भाई पवनदीप सिंह जी ग्रंथी गुरुद्वारा कलगीधर खेड़ी सेक्टर 20 जी ने गुरु साहिब के जीवन और सिक्ख इतिहास सम्बन्धी कथा- विचारों से सांगत को निहाल किया उपरांत सरबत के भले की अरदास की गई और हुकमनामा लिया गया तथा गुरु के अटूट लंगर बरताये गए।   शाम के समय भी विशेष कीर्तन दीवान सजाये गए जिनमे भाई गुरकीरत सिंह जी बूटा हजूरी रागी श्री दरबार साहिब अमृतसर वालों ने कीर्तन हाजरी  भरी। 

इन सभी समागमों के दौरान गुरु घर की प्रबंधक कमेटी सेक्रेटरी हुकम सिंह जी, मोहिंदर सिंह जी, गुरप्रीत सिंह जी, हरमीत सिंह जी तथा गुरु घर के मुख्य सेवादार गुरइन्दर बीर सिंह जी मौजूद रहे।  उन्होंने बताया कि हर बार कि तरह इस बार भी संगत ने बढ़- चढ़ भाग लिए और गुरु घर कि खुशियाँ प्राप्त कर रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि गुरु गोबिंद सिंह जी ने धर्म कि रक्षा के लिए अपना परिवार वार दिया जिन्हे याद करके समूह संगत नतमस्तक होती है। गुरु साहिब का पूरा जीवन धर्म और सत्य के मार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा देता है। समूचे सिक्ख पंथ को उनके जीवन से शिक्षा मिलती है।  उन्होंने समूची साध -संगत और श्री गुरु ग्रन्थ साहिब जी का शुक्राना किया जिनके आशीर्वाद से समागम  सम्पूर्ण हुए।
