IndiGo to Connect Delhi and London Heathrow Starting 2 February 2026

Chandigarh, Dec.24, 2025:- IndiGo, today, announced its new direct flights between Delhi and London (Heathrow), effective 2 February 2026. The airline will fly five times a week on the route using its Boeing 787 aircraft, taken on wet/damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways, offering dual-class configuration with IndiGoStretch and Economy Class. IndiGo already operates daily, direct flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow, and will now operate a total of 12 weekly flights to London.

 

The introduction of this new route marks a steady expansion of international connectivity from the National Capital, Delhi, after IndiGo's recently launched flights to Denpasar (Bali), Krabi, Hanoi, Guangzhou, and Manchester. IndiGo has already announced introduction of direct flights to Athens starting January 2026. Along with the international expansion from Delhi, as part of it's further internationalisation, IndiGo has added 10 new international destinations and more than 30 new international routes from various points in India over the past 12 months.

 

Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer at IndiGo, said that we are pleased to introduce direct flights between Delhi and London, offering more travel options between India and the United Kingdom. This follows the recent launch of our direct flights from Mumbai to London, and service from Delhi and Mumbai to Manchester. This new service is expected to support the growing demand for travel between the two cities for commerce, tourism, and visiting family and friends. IndiGo is commited to making international travel seamless and more accessible, while strengthening connectivity between India and key global destinations.

VMT- UT Boys Post 253 against Tripura on Day 1

Chandigarh, Dec.23, 2025:-UT boys put up a fighting total of 253 runs in their first innings against Tripura on the opening day of the Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite U-16 match being played at Shimoga on Tuesday.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Chandigarh were built around a solid knock by Prabek Singh (86)  laced with 14 fours and two sixes. Middle-order support came from Ishant Rawat, who chipped in with a valuable 46 off 87 balls while wicketkeeper Ankit contributed 25 runs. . Chandigarh were bowled out in 90.3 overs.  For Tripura, Sahin Hossen Podder was the standout bowler by claiming an impressive 5 for 37 while Somdev Shil (3/16) clinched three wickets.

Annual Function 'Ehsaas' at Tagore Theatre with immense enthusiasm and splendor. The event beautifully reflected emotions, traditions, and social awareness through a vibrant blend of music, dance, drama, and art. The stage transformed into a lively arena of music, dance, and expressive performances, highlighting the remarkable talent and zeal of the young performers. The occasion witnessed the gracious presence of students, staff members, and parents, all coming together to rejoice in the spirit of talent, unity and cultural harmony through a series of captivating presentations.

The programme commenced with an auspicious Ganesh Vandana, invoking divine blessings, followed by a melodious Welcome Song 

that set the perfect tone for the evening. A vibrant Punjabi action song infused with spiritual essence filled the atmosphere with devotion and divine energy. The spiritual depth of the evening was elevated through a powerful Qawali performance, followed by a captivating Orchestra presentation that mesmerised everyone The school highlighted the theme of unity in diversity through a series of vibrant folk dances, including the 

Naga Dance, Nepali Dance and Bangla Dance highlighting the rich cultural heritage of India's different states while a lively Spanish Dance added an international flavour to the programme Students further impressed the audience with a serene Yoga performance, emphasizing balance, discipline, 

and well-being.

A thought-provoking act on Women Empowerment conveyed a strong social message, earning loud applause. The English play "Melon City" entertained the audience with its wit and satire. The creative Speed Art performance left the audience spellbound as art unfolded live on stage.

The fun-filled Lazy Dance brought smiles and laughter, followed 

by a humorous Hindi play based on Indian wedding sarcasm, which 

resonated deeply with the audience due to its relatable theme. The grand finale was marked by an energetic Bhangra performance, filling the auditorium with joy and thunderous applause.

The Annual Function was a fine reflection of not only the students' artistic abilities but also their teamwork, discipline, and deep-

rooted cultural values. The audience warmly appreciated the students' commitment and the untiring efforts of the teachers, whose dedication played a key role in making the programme a grand success.

The esteemed Principal, Dr. Harpreet Kaur, commended the

क्रिसमस के अवसर पर नगर शोभा यात्रा का हुआ भव्य आयोजन

Chandigarh, Dec.23, 2025:- क्रिसमस के मौके पर शहर में ट्राईसिटी चर्चिस एसोसियेशन की ओर से रोमन कैथोलिक चर्च, चंडीगढ़ और शिमला के बिशप सहाया टी थॉमस तथा फादर प्रेमनंद एसोसियेशन के प्रेसिडेंट लॉरेंस मलिक की अध्यक्षता में क्रिसमस पर शोभा यात्रा का आयोजन किया गया जो कि सैक्टर 18 स्थित सीएनआई चर्च से शहर के विभिन्न स्थानों सैक्टर 19/27, सैक्टर 20/30 की लाइट प्वाइंट से सैक्टर 20 और सैक्टर 21 की मार्किट, अरोमा लाइट प्वाइंट से सैक्टर 22/23 लाइट प्वाइंट, सैक्टर 24 की मार्किट से गुजरते हुए सैक्टर 25 स्थित रैली ग्राउंड में पहुंची। विभिन्न सेक्टरों के निवासियों द्वारा शोभा यात्रा गर्मजोशी और सौहार्दपूर्ण स्वागत किया गया।

इस दौरान आकर्षित झांकियां भी देखने को मिली। चंडीगढ़ मोहाली और पंचकुला के सभी चर्चों ने यीशु मसीह के जन्म और पुनर्मूल्यांकन के चित्र प्रस्तुत किए। बच्चों द्वारा शांति का पवित्र सन्देश फैलाने वाले कैरोल गाए गए। इस दौरान उन्होंने लोगों को टॉफियां भी बांटी।

ट्राईसिटी चर्चिस एसोसियेशन के प्रेसिडेंट  लॉरेंस मलिक ने सभी को क्रिसमस की बधाई देते हुए कहा कि शोभा यात्रा का आयोजन प्रेम व शांति का प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें सभी से प्रेम करना चाहिए और उनका सम्मान करना चाहिए। उन्होंने इस मौके पर यीशु मसीह के बलिदान और शिक्षाओं के बारें में बात करते हुए कहा कि हमें उनके दिये हुए वचनों पर चलना चाहिए ताकि हम एक सुखी जीवन व्यतीत कर सकें।  

अपने संबोधन में बिशप सहाया टी थॉमस ने कहा की यीशु मसीह ने समाज को प्यार और इंसानियत की शिक्षा दी। यीशु मसीह के जन्म का हवाला देते हुए उन्होंने उल्लेख किया कि यीशु ने जीवन नम्रता के साथ शुरू किया था और फिर जनता की पीड़ाएं और परेशानियों को देखते हुए संसार की चीजों का त्याग करके पवित्र मिशन को उठायाए, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप विश्व में बदलाव आया। 

इस अवसर बिशप सहाया टी थॉमस के साथ फादर प्रेमांनंद, बिशप ब्रायन एंडरसन, पास्टर एलिशा मसीह, हिलरी विक्टर, ब्रो यूनुस पीटर, पास्टर अजय दास , डॉ इमैनुएल नाहर पास्टर  जगदीश सिंह, रेव्रंड तनुज पाल मसीह, पास्टर राजेश बालू और बिशप रणदीप मैथ्यू उपस्थित थे।

शोभायात्रा के स्वागत हेतु शहर की विभिन्न मार्किट और रेसिडेंशियल एसोसिएशन की ओर से जलपान की व्यवस्था की गई थी। सेक्टर 24 में विख्यात समाजसेवी रविन्द्र सिंह बिल्ला की ओर से भी शोभायात्रा के स्वागत हेतु चाय-ब्रेड पकौड़े का लंगर लगाया था। जिसे श्रद्धालुओं ने बड़े ही चाव से ग्रहण किया। समाजसेवी रविन्द्र सिंह बिल्ला ने इस मौके शोभायात्रा का नेतृत्व कर रहे बिशप्स और फादर्स का शाल डालकर सम्मान भी किया।

गरीबों के बच्चों का भविष्य कुचल रही है चण्डीगढ़ प्रशासन की संवेदनहीन नीति: कमलेश बनारसी दास

Chandigarh, Dec.22, 2025:-चण्डीगढ़ प्रशासन की संवेदनहीन नीति गरीबों के बच्चों का भविष्य कुचल रही है। रामदरबार कॉलोनी फेज-2 स्कूल में तीन महीने से प्रिंसिपल नहीं – यह प्रशासनिक नहीं, राजनीतिक अपराध है। 

आज कमलेश बनारसी दास, पूर्व मेयर चण्डीगढ़ ने रामदरबार कॉलोनी फेज-2 स्थित सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल का औचक दौरा किया। यह दौरा बच्चों और उनके अभिभावकों की लगातार मिल रही शिकायतों के बाद किया गया, जिनमें बताया गया था कि स्कूल में हर 4–5 महीनों में प्रिंसिपल बदले जाते हैं, जिससे पढ़ाई और स्कूल का पूरा माहौल खराब हो रहा है।

दौरे के दौरान जो सच्चाई सामने आई, वह बेहद शर्मनाक है। स्कूल में पिछले लगभग तीन महीनों से न तो प्रिंसिपल तैनात है और न ही वाइस प्रिंसिपल। जिस अधिकारी को इस स्कूल का अतिरिक्त प्रभार दिया गया है, वह अपनी जिम्मेदारी निभाने में पूरी तरह विफल है।

यह साफ़ दर्शाता है कि चण्डीगढ़ प्रशासन को कॉलोनी के बच्चों की कोई चिंता नहीं है।

शहर के पॉश इलाकों के स्कूलों में तुरंत प्रिंसिपल तैनात कर दिए जाते हैं,

लेकिन गरीब बस्तियों के स्कूल भगवान भरोसे छोड़ दिए जाते हैं।

कमलेश बनारसी दास ने स्पष्ट शब्दों में कहा कि अगर इस स्कूल का आने वाला रिज़ल्ट खराब आता है, अगर बच्चे फेल होते हैं,

तो इसकी पूरी जिम्मेदारी चण्डीगढ़ प्रशासन की होगी।

बच्चों के भविष्य से हो रहा यह खिलवाड़ किसी भी कीमत पर बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा।

यह सवाल उठता है कि क्या कॉलोनी के बच्चों को शिक्षा का अधिकार नहीं है?

क्या इनके लिए स्थाई प्रिंसिपल लगाना प्रशासन को जरूरी नहीं लगता?

क्या कॉलोनी के स्कूलों में पोस्टिंग अफसरों की "शान के खिलाफ" मानी जाती है?

अक्सर देखा गया है कि अधिकारी कॉलोनी के स्कूलों में पोस्टिंग से बचने के लिए जॉइन करने से पहले ही अपनी बदली शहर के स्कूलों में करवा लेते हैं और प्रशासन चुपचाप सब देखता रहता है।

कमलेश बनारसी दास ने यह भी घोषणा की कि वे जल्द ही एजुकेशन सेक्रेटरी, श्रीमती प्रेरणा पुरी से मुलाकात करेंगे और

इस स्कूल में तुरंत एक परमानेंट प्रिंसिपल और वाइस प्रिंसिपल की नियुक्ति की मांग करेंगे।

यदि इसके बाद भी प्रशासन ने कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं की, तो कॉलोनीवासी मजबूर होकर बड़ा जन आंदोलन करेंगे।

गरीबों के बच्चों को दोयम दर्जे का नागरिक समझने की नीति अब नहीं चलेगी।

बच्चों का भविष्य किसी अफसर की लापरवाही या प्रशासन की उदासीनता की भेंट नहीं चढ़ने देंगे।

Chandigarh, Dec.22, 2025:---मनीमाजरा स्थित एंजेल प्ले स्कूल में क्रिसमस का त्योहार बड़े ही हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया गया। पूरा ही विद्यालय बड़े ही खूबसूरत ढंग से सजा था। चारों तरफ खुशियों की लहर थी। स्कूल के सांता क्लॉस बने नन्हे मुन्ने बच्चों में स्टाफ द्वारा टॉफी- चॉकलेट्स व गिफ्ट बांटे गए। इसके साथ ही बच्चों को प्रभु यीशु के जीवन से प्रेरणा लेने का भी संदेश दिया गया।

स्कूल की प्रिंसिपल अमनप्रीत कौशल ने कहा कि क्रिसमस एक खास त्यौहार है, जिसे ईसाई धर्म के साथ ही अन्य धर्म के लोग भी बड़े उत्साह और जोश के साथ मनाते हैं। कहा जाता है कि यह वही दिन है जब ईसा मसीह का जन्म हुआ। इसी दिन सब एक दूसरे को मैरी क्रिसमस कह कर शुभकामनाएं देते हैं और क्रिसमस कैरोल गाते हैं।

Mohali, Dec.21, 2025:- श्री चैतन्य टेक्नो स्कूल, मोहाली ने हाल ही में नासा किट वितरण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया, जिसमें सीएसआईआर चंडीगढ़ के प्रसिद्ध माइक्रोबायोलॉजिस्ट, वैज्ञानिक विनोद चौधरी ने भाग लेकर कार्यक्रम को सुशोभित किया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य छात्रों को नासा की अत्याधुनिक तकनीक और अनुसंधान का हाथ‑से‑काम अनुभव तथा परिचय प्रदान करना था। नासा किट छात्रों को अंतरिक्ष अन्वेषण, खगोल विज्ञान और संबंधित स्पेस क्षेत्रों के बारे में खोज और सीखने में सक्षम बनाएंगे।

सीएसआईआर‑आईएमटीईसीएच के सीनियर प्रिंसिपल वैज्ञानिक, वैज्ञानिक विनोद चौधरी ने स्पेस शिक्षा में युवा दिमागों को प्रेरित करने के महत्व पर बल दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि इस प्रकार की पहल छात्रों में नवाचार और रचनात्मकता को बढ़ावा देने में महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है।

Chandigarh Team Departs for Rajkot to Play Vijay Hazare Trophy

Chandigarh, Dec.21, 2025:- The Chandigarh senior men's cricket team has departed for Rajkot (Gujarat) to participate in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. The team will be led by experienced campaigner Manan Vohra.

Chandigarh will open its campaign against Jammu & Kashmir on December 24 followed by matches against Uttar Pradesh (December 26) and Bengal (December 29). The team will then take on Vidarbha on December 31, Hyderabad on January 3, Assam on January 6 and conclude the league stage against Baroda on January 8.
