Mohali 04^th November:-- ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅਨਿਲ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਨੁਹਾਰ ਬਦਲੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ , ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਖਰਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਅਨਿਲ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਭਵਨ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਟੋਲ ਫ੍ਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ 1800-137-0007 ਦਾ ਰਸ਼ਮੀ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਐਸ.ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਅਗਾਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਅਨਿਲ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲ ਕਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮਾਡਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਟੋਲ ਫ੍ਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਐਸ.ਐਮ. ਐਸ.ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਸਮਾਰਟ ਫੋਨ ਐਪ ਤੇ MC CRAMAT ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਡਾਊਨਲੋਡ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਫੋਨ ਨੰਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਈ-ਮੇਲ ਰਜਿਸ਼ਟਰ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੀ ਫੋਟੋ ਖਿੱਚ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਤੇ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਦਾ  ਵੇਰਵਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ । ਗੁਗਲ ਮੈਪ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕਿ  ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ । ਅਨਿਲ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਪਟਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਸੈਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਪਟਾਰਾ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਗੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਜੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਪਟਾਰੇ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਮਹੀਨਾਵਾਰ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਖੁਦ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਨਗੇ।  ਅਨਿਲ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ 100 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ 10ਫ਼ੀ ਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਛੋਟ 'ਚ 10 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਤੇ ਲਗਾਈ ਰੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਜਬੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਚਲੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਭਰਨ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗੁੰਮਰਾਹ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਘੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ । ਉਹ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਬਹਿਕਾਵੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਆਉਣ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਟੈਕਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਖਰਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨਿਲ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤਖੋਰੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਤੇ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹ ਬਣਾਇਆਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਦੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਸੋਮ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਭਵਨ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਲਈ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਟੋਲ ਫ੍ਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਐਸ.ਐਮ .ਐਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਪਟਾਰਾ ਮਿੱਥੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਸੰਜੀਦਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਉਠਾ ਸਕਣ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਬੀਬੀ ਅਮਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਰਾਮੂਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਉਠਾਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਪਟਾਰਾ ਵੀ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਲਡੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਸ ਅਹਿਮ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਦੀ ਭਰਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

 

MC Step Forward For Rabies Free City

Chandigarh 04^th November:--- In order to make the city rabies Free and to implement the Animal Birth Control (Dogs) Rules 2001, the NGO' s namely Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, People for Animal and Municipal Corporation Chandigarh are jointly making efforts in this direction.

The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh organized free Anti Rabies Vaccination Camps for stray Dogs in association with Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Chandigarh. 174 stray dogs were vaccinated during the month of November, 2013.  Stray Dogs suffering from skin diseases, wounds etc. were given immediate treatment and those who required admission were taken to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Hospital for treatment. Information Education and Communication material was made available to the public for awareness. It was stressed upon that the stray dogs be owned and neutered so that their population remains under control and which indeed are "man's best friends".

 

 

CII Tourism Fest To Showcase Tourism Potential of Chd, Punjab & Haryana

Chandigarh 04^th November:--- Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana will aggressively showcase their enormous tourism potential to attract more and more national as well as international tourists in the upcoming CII Tourism Fest from 5-7 December 2013 at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh. The fest which is being organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is the biggest and most anticipated International Festival of the region aimed to accelerate growth in the International tourism sector and to create & establish roadmap for inclusive and seamless tourism across the region, nation and globe. Chandigarh is the Host City and Punjab as the Principal Partner State while Haryana is the focus state. The event will be first of its kind with both national as well as international participation. The fest aims to unleash the latent potential of the tourism sector and is expected to turn the economy around and boost tourism at regional, state and global level. It would also have concurrent activities like International Dance Festival and International Chef Meet. Other 13 states like Goa, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, J & K, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi are also participating in this unique fest.  The fest will also have international flavour with participation of 8 countries viz China, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Philippines, Dubai, Thailand Indonesia and Turkey. 20 buyers from overseas and 90 from across the country will also participate that will allow inflow of special packages/ itineraries by State Tourism Authorities & Foreign Tourism Boards, B2B meets and tie ups with Uttarakhand tourism department officials. The fest would dwell on aspects like participative role of Central & State Governments and agencies, Seamless tourism, Demand & Supply Scenario in India, Tourism Development: Destination Marketing, Urban and Regional Tourism Development, Sustainable Tourism, Economic Sustainability and impact of tourism on economy, Marketing and branding strategies, Human resources management strategies for tourism & hospitality industry, Case studies of good practices in tourism governance, policy making and management.

North can attract tourists for various forms of tourism like Eco tourism, Religious tourism, cultural tourism, Hill Tourism, Architectural, Farm, Heritage, Weekend and Lifestyle tourism. Presently, out of 2.5 lac tourists visiting Shimla every year, only 22,000 tourists stay put in Chandigarh. Oakridge School To Conduct Short Story Writing Contest

Mohali 04^th November:-- Oakridge International School Mohali is going to organise the Short Story Writing Contest on 15^th of December in School premises. The Contest is for children aged less than 6 to 10 years, and 11 to 16 years. The last date for registration is 10^th December.

According to the Principal of Oakridge Mohali Pranjala Dutta, that Oakridge invites all the little creative literary wizards to the Short Story Writing Contest. The contest is for those who want to give wings to their imaginations and a chance to pen their thoughts, be it a fairy story of their dreams or a reflection of the world they see around them. MCM Organise Workshop on Electronics and Electrical

Chandigarh 04^th November:--- The Physics Department of MCM DAV College for Women Chandigarh organized an electronics and electrical workshop here today. Spread over two sessions, the resource person at the workshop was Ashish Verma, Director, Pizik (India).

The objective of the first session of the workshop was to teach the students how to test and repair daily home appliances and lab equipments themselves. The second session involved equipping the students with knowledge about the components and use of basic electronics and electrical equipments.  A demonstration of the use and application of cathode Ray Oscilloscope was also made. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students who raised many interesting questions.

Applauding the efforts of the Department, Principal of the college Dr. Puneet Bedi said that integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applicability is imperative in making students employable. This workshop is a step towards this goal.

 

 

DT CINEMAS LIFT CINEMA CRICKET LEAGUE CUP:BEAT FUN CINEMAS IN THE FINAL

Chandigarh 04^th November:--- Continuing its winning streak DT Cinemas got the better of Fun Cinemas in the final of Cinema Cricket League played at the Sec 16 Cricket Stadium. DT Cinemas won the toss and elected to field. Fun Cinemas was bundled out for 90 runs by DT Cinemas in 15 overs. DT Cinemas batsmen then achieved the target by losing only 2 wickets in just 12 overs. The man of the match was DT Cinema's Sunil Kumar who scored 37 runs and also took one wicket.

The match was followed by a prize distribution ceremony in which the DT Cinemas team was given the coveted Cinema Cricket League trophy. DT Cinema's Sanjiv Kumar got the trophy for Man of the Series for his all round performance in the tournament. Three league matches were played before today's final between teams of Piccadily Square, DT Cinemas and Fun Cinemas.

The tourney was organized by the management of Piccadily Square, Sec34, Chandigarh. Vineet Sablok, GM (Ops), Piccadily Square, said at the prize distribution ceremony, "The idea behind the league was to give an opportunity to the staff of the Cinema Outlets who work late hours to meet business deadlines and targets to get some quality time to relax and recharge themselves. Another motive was to increase work efficiency, improve leadership skills and build team work."

 Today a trophy for Man of the Match was also given. A runner up trophy was bagged by Fun Cinemas while all the playing members of both the finalist teams were given medals. This was the opening edition of the league and the idea is to organise the same every year.

03rd December:L--The Department of Anatomy, PGIMER,Chandigarh feels proud to receive the body of Mrs Balwant Baba, of  Mohali, Punjab. Her husband Late Sh H.S.Bawa had also donated his body to PGIMER, Chandigarh on 20th Sep' 2013. She had two sons. Her elder son Col. I.B.S Bawa is Mahavir Chakra recipient posthumously in 1987. His wife Mrs Lily Bawa is councillor from sector 12, Panchkula. Her younger son Mr J.S Bawa fulfilled her wish by donating her body to PGIMER, Chandigarh.
