Mohali, Jan.13, 2026:-Gian Jyoti global School, Phase 2 marked the festival of Lohri with vibrant celebrations and cultural grandeur. The event brought together faculty members, staff, and students to honor the significance of the harvest festival and celebrate the spirit of community bonding.
The celebrations commenced with the lighting of the traditional Lohri bonfire by J.S. Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions. This traditional ritual set a warm and festive tone for the day, followed by energetic Giddha and Bhangra performances to the tunes of folk music. Traditional treats, including rewri, gachak, peanuts, and popcorn, were distributed among everyone present.
Faculty members and students from both institutions participated enthusiastically in the festivities, reflecting the Group's deep-rooted commitment to cultural values and harmony.
Extending his greetings, Chairman J.S. Bedi said that Lohri stands for hope, gratitude, and the strength of togetherness. Celebrations across our institutions reflect the value we place on culture, harmony, and shared joy." The celebration concluded on a high note, leaving the campus filled with warmth, unity, and cultural pride.
