Mohali, July 8, 2025:--Ashmah International School, Sector 70, Mohali, celebrated Van Mahotsav with great zeal, emphasizing the importance of trees and environmental conservation. The day began with a plantation drive in and around the campus, where students enthusiastically planted various saplings, contributing towards a greener tomorrow.
Throughout the day, several engaging activities were organized to educate and inspire students about environmental protection. Students showcased their understanding and creativity through speech competitions, poetry recitations, and poster-making contests — all centered around the importance of trees. Through these activities, the students learned valuable concepts about plantation, deforestation, and the crucial need to maintain ecological balance, developing a deeper appreciation for nature.
Principal Suchi Grover expressed her happiness over the active participation of the students and said that Van Mahotsav is not just about planting saplings but also serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility towards Mother Earth. Watching our students plant trees with such enthusiasm and participate in discussions on environmental care gives us great hope for a brighter, greener future.
Director J.S. Keser emphasized the school's commitment to environmental education and said that We motivate the new generation to take concrete steps in keeping their surroundings clean and green. If they start this noble work at school and at home, it will give new direction to society. We must act in time, otherwise future generations will have to face severe consequences of environmental neglect.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge by the school to encourage environmental awareness and take active steps towards a greener and more sustainable future.
