Lucky Meets Punjab Governor to Discuss Key City Issues

Chandigarh, May 21, 2025:-Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee President  H.S. Lucky today called on the Hon'ble Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria, at the Punjab Raj Bhawan. The meeting was held to discuss several pressing matters concerning the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

During the meeting,  H.S. Lucky raised significant concerns related to the recent proposed demolition of religious structures across the city, which has caused distress among various communities. He emphasized the need for a more sensitive and inclusive approach in dealing with such matters to maintain communal harmony and public trust.

In addition to this, the Congress President also discussed the issue of pending and inadequate funds for the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh. He urged the Governor to ensure timely financial support for the smooth functioning and execution of civic services in the city. He raised the issue of bad condition of roads which fall under the ambit of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh. Lucky also raised various pressing issues like regularization of construction outside lal dora , land pooling , share wise registry, notices to housing board dwellers and industrialist etc.

 Lucky further highlighted the need for comprehensive and inclusive development of Chandigarh, pointing out areas that require urgent administrative attention and infrastructure enhancement to improve the quality of life for residents.

Administrator Kataria gave a patient and empathetic hearing to all the issues raised. He assured Lucky of a positive and constructive approach in resolving the concerns brought to his notice, reaffirming the administration's commitment to the welfare and development of Chandigarh.

Lucky added that the Chandigarh Congress remains steadfast in its mission to represent the voices of the city's residents and work towards a progressive, inclusive, and well-governed Union Territory.
