UTCA President Holds a Session with Franchisee Captains ahead of CSA T20 Tournament, Opening Ceremony to be Held today at TDL, Panchakula

Chandigarh, Feb.05, 2025:-The UTCA President Sanjay Tandon held a session with the captains of the franchise teams participating in the Chandra Shekhar Azad T20 Tournament at UTCA Office, Cricket Stadium, Sector 16 on Wednesday. The tournament set to begin on February 7, 2025, at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula

The teams include HIIMS Hawk led by Shivam Bhambri, Talanoa Tigers with Raj Angad Bawa as captain, Punjab Panthers under Manan Vohra's leadership, WildWood Warriors captained by Gurinder Singh, City Challengers led by Mohd Arslan Khan and Manohar Mavericks with Sandeep Sharma as captain.

Tandon highlighted the tournament's role in fostering regional talent and providing a competitive platform for emerging cricketers. He conveyed his best wishes to all the captains, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork.

Later in the evening, the teams underwent practice sessions in preparation for the 16-day-long tournament. The cup unveiling would take place at the opening ceremony on February 6 from 4 pm onwards. The event will be graced by Chief Guest Rajiv Verma (IAS), Chief Secretary, UT Administration and Harpreet Kaur Babla, Mayor, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. Franchise owners, players, local cricket academies and sports enthusiasts will also attend the event.

The UTCA president expressed confidence that the tournament would set new standards for regional cricket, inspire young players, and provide an exciting spectacle for fans.
