Amit Shah Visit to Chandigarh Proved to be a Damp Squib and Remained Inconsequential: H S Lucky

By 121 News
Chandigarh, August 05, 2024:-The recent visit of union home minister Amit Shah to chandigarh proved to be a damp squib and remained inconsequential as it failed to provide much relief to the residents of the city who were expecting some relief from this visit said  H s Lucky President Chandigarh Pradesh Congress in a statement.

Infact the Bjp led central government took a complete U turn on three of its major promises made to residents of chandigarh in their manifesto. Firstly an affidavit was submitted in the Supreme Court denying any policy to convert industrial and commercial properties in chandigarh from leasehold to freehold. Secondly on a reply to a question put by Manish Tewari Congress Mp from chandigarh in the Lok sabha it was replied that there is no planning of giving any relief to need based changes made by the residents of housing board dwelling units. Lastly now it has come to the notice of the Congress party that the chandigarh administration has prepared a reply in which it has confirmed that no ownership right will be given to allottes of Colonies. This goes to show the real face of the Bjp who made false promises to the residents of chandigarh and played with their sentiments .
Yesterday also the union home minister failed to address any major issues related to the city and did not even bother to meet the stakeholders. He came only for majorly two issues
24×7 water supply which is going to cost heavy on the pockets of city residents. Secondly the implementation of three laws which are still being seen by many as giving more powers to the state which in turn may misuse them,  therby reducing the rights of the common citizens .
The chandigarh Bjp has been boasting of umpteen visits of its central ministers to the city must specify  what has been the benefit of such visits to the residents of chandigarh  ? Asked Lucky. The Bjp is so much terrified with its recent defeats maybe the Mayoral election or election of the Lok Sabha that it has gone into the mode of turning government programs as party programs. Lucky advised officers not to fall prey to gimmicks of the Bjp and remain neutral what the chandigarh administration has been known for in the past.
