Chandigarh, April 22:- BJP Lok Sabha candidate for the Chandigarh constituency Sanjay Tandon addressed members of Indian Medical Association (IMA) at IMA Complex at Sec 35 here.

Dr Neeraj Nagpal from IMA apprised Tandon about several issues facing the medical community. The main demand was the amendment of the law governing criminal proceedings against doctors, the prevention of violence against doctors, and the demand to ensure that a case if filed against a doctor is done so only in one forum and not in multiple.

In response, BJP Chandigarh candidate Sanjay Tandon said, "I sympathise with these issues and with God's grace if elected to power, I will take up your problems with the centre." He added that we are all at a point in time, where we have to decide the fate of the nation for the next 5 years. So, it's everyone's duty and right as well to participate in the biggest festival of democracy."
He further highlighted that under the Modi regime the medical field has grown by leaps and bounds and achieved new heights. Our government has made many medical colleges, hospitals and launched path breaking health schemes like 'Ayushman Bharat' for the needy.

Meanwhile, in continuation of his 'people contact' programme, Sanjay Tandon, addressed gatherings in Sec 18 and 9. Tandon appealed to the audience to vote intelligently on June 1 so that the Chandigarh seat goes to the BJP as it will be only then that issues connected with Chandigarh can be resolved effectively as a BJP government is again coming to power at the centre. Tandon said that once elected he will get all issues of the city resolved by taking these up with the centre.

He also addressed a public meeting in Manimajra which was organised by Kamal Sharma Shaky (State Vice President, BJYM) who was accompanied by Jagtar Singh Dhillon (State Vice President, BJP); Bhupinder Saini (District President); Shivanand Mishra (Mandal President), Gulshan Acharya,  Sarabjeet Singh Zaildar and Om Prakash Budhiraja.
