Cong Campaign Falls Flat in the Face of Tandon’s Tornado: BJP

By 121 News
Chandigarh, April 21, 2024:- The BJP  today mounted an offensive on the Congress saying that Congress nominee Manish Tiwari seems to have already conceded the defeat in the face of a "positive and promising" campaign launched by BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon.

In a statement BJP Chandigarh Vice president Shakti Prakash Devshali said that in the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of development, Tiwari is beating a hollow drum.

He said Tiwari's election campaign  has no connection with the ground realities in the City Beautiful. This is so  because he is neither aware of what has happened in the city during the past 10 years nor does he have a roadmap for the future development of the city.

Chandigarh UT has undergone a massive transformation during the past 10 years when Tewari was representing some other constituencies in Punjab. Now he has abandoned the people of these constituencies and come to Chandigarh to present himself a messiah of the city. The wise people of Chandigarh will not be taken in by this kind of smooth talk.

While the BJP candidate is daily addressing rallies and community meetings throughout the constituency, Tiwari has mounted a largely negative and ineffective campaign.

He has also swept under the carpet the large scale resignations which has grounded his election campaign. The flood of resignations which started with the nomination of Manish Tiwari is not stopping despite all efforts by the so called Congress High Command to douse the fire.

In addition, Congress stalwart Pawan Bansal and his supporters have not joined the election campaign so far because they don't consider Manish Tiwari as a local leader. Tiwari is thus forced to cut a lonely figure in his election campaign.

On the other hand, BJP's Sanjay Tandon is drawing a tremendous response from all sections of the society during his daily rounds of various sectors of the city. The Congress which has suffered defeats in the last two Lok Sabha elections in Chandigarh is doomed to face a third defeat this time too.
