Principal of the college Dr Sapna Nanda welcomed the guests. Ananya Nautiyal, NSS Volunteer - Environment Wing led the pledge- "Panch Pranh Pratigeya" in commitment to the Nation. Fruit trees were planted by the guests, faculty, NSS volunteers and the support staff. Discussions with Retd. Captain Harveer Singh led to appreciating the tough life of soldiers and the role education can play towards patriotism. The expertise of the Tree Man led to seeding ideas for various thematic gardens in future for the college. He committed to developing a strawberry garden and an automatic vatika on the college campus. The SBI officers in their community engagement offered support for future endeavours too.
Dr Ravneet Chawla, incharge NSS of the college extended deep gratitude to the guests and expressed interest in the future partnerships.
Ravinder Kumar, NSS PO, summed up the programme for the upcoming events and appreciated the efforts of all including the NSS volunteers to mark the initiation of MMMD. The other volunteers placed in the internship in various schools also created the tree plantation drive in their respective schools.
