Chandigarh, Aug.12, 2023:-There are more than 40 exhibitors from different parts of the country showcasing their products. The inaugural day of the exhibition witnessed a swarm of visitors. The exhibition displays a variety of lifestyle, fashion, and home décor items such as perfumes, handmade rakhis, chikankari clothing collections, handloom products, handcrafted jewellery, and many more. It is a celebration of Indian fashion and artistry. The exhibition will be on till August 14, 2023 from 11 am till 8 pm daily. Rattandeep Singh Walia , co-organizer of the Afreen exhibition, said that we are happy to bring this Rakhi Special exhibition to the City Beautiful to showcase a unique variety of rakhis and a plethora of fashionable clothing and accessories. We are confident that people will find the perfect items to make their Rakhsha Bandhan special at 'Afreen'.
Aman Walia, co-organizer added that we have got exhibitors from across India. There are designers who have come to showcase their wares from places like Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Agra and many other places. 'Afreen' is a one-stop-shop for all of one's lifestyle needs. The best part is that the products are affordable while being of a high quality at the same time.
The highlight of the exhibition is the unique and quirky variety of handmade 'rakhis' to celebrate the upcoming festival of Raksha Bandhan. Anjali of Sparkles, said that we have made high-quality handmade rakhis and festive gift hampers, keeping in mind the favored choice of each age group. For kids, we have made Mickey Mouse, unicorn, magnetic, and cartoon-styled rakhis. We have kept the prices very nominal so that most people can easily buy and flaunt our rakhis on Raksha Bandhan. The pieces have to be seen to be believed.
The stall of handcrafted rakhis, jewellery, suits and sarees by Supriya Mittal and Bhuvi Mittal witnessed a number of people who wished to buy personalized rakhis.
The exquisite chikankari collection stall 'Naunidh' is a celebration of timeless feminine beauty and intricate craftsmanship. The stall especially attracted the attention of many ladies due to its awe inspiring collections showcasing chikankari embroidery fusion with modern designs. Another clothing stall 'Fabric Emporio' has showcased semi-stitched suits and fabrics.
'Label Kashni', a collection by Navneet Kaur, beckons all fashion enthusiasts to spruce up their partywear and summer clothing wardrobe. For the people who love handlooms, the 'Vastram' stall has on display stunning collections based on Ajrakh, Bhujodi, Kalamkari, Jamdani, and Kantha work. The designs that have been woven at handlooms by local artisans of different states in India is a big draw. 'Khuli Kameez' has brought exquisitely designed shirts for men.
Apart from this, visitors are also getting a chance to gaze at the unique Indian handmade jewellery at the stall of 'Sandookdi'. 'My Jewellery Box' showcased a plethora of lightweight 92.5 sterling jewellery products, like silver rings studded with diamonds, silver sterling rakhis, earrings, and necklaces.Then, there is 'Guru Aasra Perfumes' , a stall which displays a wide range of French and Middle Eastern fragrances, especially the popular Dubai perfumes. 'Indian Trunk' is presenting handcrafted footwear. For improving one's home decor there is an exhibitor from Agra who has brought beautiful pottery made by original artisans. A wide range of handbags from 'London Chicks' are also available.
