Mohali Industry Captains Endorse Balbir Sidhu’s Development Agenda, Commit Full Support to Him

Chandigarh Jan.22, 2022:- Over 100 Industrialists of Mohali have come out in full support of Balbir Singh Sidhu, the former Cabinet Minister and Congress candidate from Mohali for his development agenda and commitment towards Mohali and Industries. In a meeting held here last night, industry captains endorsed Balbir Sidhu's development agenda while committing their full support to him.

Speaking on the occasion Anurag Aggarwal, President of Mohali Industries Association said that during Covid lockdown Balbir Sidhu stood shoulder to shoulder with the local industries for resuming the operations, curfew passes, vaccination availability or distribution of free rations for the Industrial workers. He said that Balbir Singh Sidhu has insight into fundamental problems of Mohali because of which he has undertaken development projects like widening of Landran Chowk, augmentation of Water Supplies to make Mohali free of water shortage for next 20 years and start of work for clearance of garbage dump in Phase 8B.

Vivek Kapoor, Vice President Mohali Industries Association said that Mr. Sidhu is 100% accessible at all times unlike other candidates who allegedly have a 3 tier security and are impossible to meet. He said that it was the 1st time that works for more than 13 crores have been initiated for the focal point Industrial Area by the Municipal Corporation headed by Mayor Amarjit Jiti Sidhu. Yogesh Sagar, Immediate Past President Mohali Industries Association said that as per RTI reply from MC before that during tenure of Ex Mayor Kulwant Singh only Rs. 1Cr was spent on the Industrial Area in 3 years whereas Industrial Area had contributed more than 12Crs in property tax.

Leading Industrialist and President of the Bal Gopal Gaushala Naresh Kansal said that Balbir Singh Sidhu is always thinking about betterment of Mohali and it was his thinking that prompted him to make available land for Gaushala to serve dual purpose of making available shelter to the poor abandoned cows and also to make the city free from them as they have been responsible for make traffic accidents. He said the Opposition parties since they do not have any positive contribution of their own were trying to cast allegations of land grab on him whereas there is not an iota of truth in these allegations.

KHS Dhindsa and Hari Om Verma, Industrialists from JLPL Sector 82, thanked Balbir Singh Sidhu for freeing them from the clutches of the developer headed by Kulwant Singh who was fleecing them by charging exorbitant maintenance charges which was almost 100 times the applicable property tax. KHS Dhindsa said that Balbir Singh Sidhu worked for them for 5 years and now is the time that all Industrialists should work to ensure victory of Balbir Singh Sidhu by even higher margin than last time by canvassing for him with their workers, suppliers, vendors and customers.

Speaking on the occasion Balbir Sidhu, remembered his 42 years of association with the Mohali Industries as himself ran his industry. He said that development of Mohali was his sole mission and he will ensure that Big Industrial Units like Hero Group set up Units in Mohali. He will also work towards early starting of international flights from Mohali and setting up of cargo terminals from here. He thanked the Industrialist for their full support and appreciating his developmental agenda. He assured them that if he wins again he will continue to work for Mohali.

Also present were Jagdeep Singh, Vice President Mohali Industries Association, Rajeev Gupta, General Secretary MIA, IS Chhabra, Finance Secretary MIA, Iqbal Singh, Kamal Dhuppar and Kewal Sandhu, Joint Secretaries MIA and other prominent Industrialist like Harpreet Nibber of Pritika Industries, BL Goel of Amit Engineers, Manpreet Dhatt from Pivot Fabrique.
