CCPCR Organizes Declamation Contest and Creative Art Competition

Chandigarh Nov. 18, 2021:- To celebrate children's week, Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) organized a Declamation Contest and Creative Art Competition on 18th November 2021 at the premises of Guru Nanak Public School (GNPS), Sector 36. Ms. Gurnam Kaur Grewal, the Principal GNPS, welcomed the chief guest of the event Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson CCPCR. The event commenced with school Shabad followed by a welcome song. 30 students from 50 schools exhibited their oratory and artistic skills.

Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson encouraged the students to follow the righteous path and motivated them to abide by the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She emphasized that truth is high but still higher is the truthful conduct.

The galaxy of eminent artists and educationists graced the occasion by judging the talent of the students. Eminent artists of the Tricity- Sh. Gurjeet Singh, Sh. Parminder Singh and Sh. Karamjit Singh judged the Creative Art Competition. Mrs. Tejinder Gill, Mrs. Satnam Kaur, and Mrs. Sangeeta Chabra judged the Declamation Contest.

Miss Avneet Kaur of GNPS- 36 bagged first prize in Creative Art Competition followed by the second prize: Miss Diya Garg of Delhi Public School, Sector 40, third prize: Ankita Verma of GMSSS-26 TM, Chandigarh and consolation prize: Miss Anya Saini of Saint Joseph Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, Chandigarh.

In the Declamation Contest, Miss Sanjana of GNPS-36 bagged the first prize, followed by second prize winner: Miss Avishi of Shivalik Public School, Sector 41, Chandigarh, and third prize: Miss Vidisha of DAV Model School, Sec 15, Chandigarh. Master Arshainveer of Class V of GNPS created a divine atmosphere by reciting a poem on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

On this occasion, CCPCR distributed T-shirts and books on Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings to all participants to commemorate the children's week. The program culminated with a vote of thanks by the Principal GNPS and National Anthem.
