Chandigarh, August 03 2021:- Vishvas Foundation organized a blood donation camp in Chandigarh today on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sati Sadhvi Behan Krishnamurti Vishvas ji. This camp was organized in front of Sector 17 Health Department. Indian Red Cross Society Punjab State Branch Chandigarh played an important role in the camp. The camp was organized to meet the shortage of blood in the hospitals of the Tricity. Special care was taken in the camp for social distancing, masks and sanitization. 55 blood donors donated blood to save the lives of others.
General Secretary of Vishvas Foundation Sadhvi Neelima Vishvas said that the team of Blood Bank GMSH Sector-16 Chandigarh collected blood in the camp under the supervision of Dr. Simarjit Kaur Gill. Free ear, nose and throat checkup camp was also organized by Dr. Lovkesh Mittal from Excel ENT Center VIP Road Zirakpur. In this camp 35 people got ear, nose and throat checkup done.
Sadhvi Neelima Vishvas said that blood donation is a great donation and there is no substitute for blood nor can it be made artificially. In the past, there were many misconceptions like blood donation, weakness in the body and disease, but today these misconceptions have been dispelled and our youth are donating blood in large numbers.
All the blood donors who came to the blood donation camp were encouraged by giving appreciation letters, masks, soaps and gifts. Rakesh Kumari, Kamlesh Kumari, Poonam Bindal, Avinash Sharma, Virender Gandhi, Vikas Kumar, Anirudh Pathania, Shatrughan Kumar, Neeraj Yadav, doctors of Vishal Kunwar Blood Bank and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
