Chandigarh, August 04 2021:- To achieve against all odds is the true trait of a performer and the Education Department, UT, Chandigarh has once again proved this dictum true with another reason to rejoice on the declaration of Secondary School CBSE results yesterday. On the lines of improvement in CBSE Senior Secondary results by 7.1%, the improvement in Class X CBSE results has continued as the Government Schools have fared quite well with an overall pass percentage of 96.6%. The average pass percentage of last year was 77.2 %.
As per the consolidated result, out of the 11291 students who appeared for the Secondary Exam, the result of 11286 students has been declared, out of which the number of pass candidates is 10905. There are 93 Government High and Senior Secondary Schools of Chandigarh and overall pass percentage in this session is 96.6%, which is 19.4% higher as compared to that of the previous session, i.e. 2019-20. A total of 65 schools have given 100% result.
As compared to 41 students who secured above 90% marks in AISSE examination in 2019-20; this year, a total of 80 students from various Govt schools secured 90% and above marks.
