This is the need of time to promote skill-based education and start more skill and job-oriented courses in all institutes said Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh during the inauguration of DBU Centre of Excellence in Sector 8 Chandigarh. The DBU Centre of Excellence is started for culinary arts and Hospitality Management Diploma courses in the association of Scholab Global Limited. DBUCOE is offering practical training to Hotel Management students in different countries and various international Hotel chains.
Giving this information spokesperson of the DBUCOE said that the Centre is offering a Diploma in Food Production and Bakery, Diploma in Food & Beverages Service, Diploma in Front Office Operations, and Diploma in Housekeeping Operation. The duration of all Diploma Courses will be 1.6 years. Students with 50 present marks in 12th can join any course with their interest. He further said that the purpose of DBUCOE is to create more career opportunities for students in the global market. In view of COVID Pandemic lockdown, DBUCOE is offering scholarships unto 100 percent to the deserving candidates along with experienced faculty members and well-equipped labs.
Talking about the mission and vision of the DBUCOE, Centre Head Shivangi Verma said that the center has its roots attached with Desh Bhagat University one of the best universities in India. The branch manager of the Punjab National Bank Manoj Sethi, Retired GM Punjab Urban Development Authority Hardev Singh were also present on the occasion.
