Chandigarh April 16, 2021:- Desh Bhagat Group of institutes celebrated Vaisakhi by organizing various events in Desh Bhagat University, Desh Bhagat School, and Desh Bhagat Radio. Chancellor of the university Dr. Zora Singh congratulated all students and faculty of DBU on this occasion. Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur mentioned the importance of the Vaisakhi festival in a religious as well as cultural manner.
Giving details of events, the spokesperson of the DBU said here that events started with Shri Japji Sahib Path in Desh Bhagat Global School for the beginning of the new session following by Interdepartmental Rangoli competition in the school of Hotel Management & Tourism & a folk cultural program in Desh Bhagat Radio.
He further said that all the students accompanied via online classes and sought the blessings of almighty Waheguru. Teachers made students aware of the historical background, significance, and relevance of Vaisakhi. Students were dressed in traditional Punjabi attire and danced to folk songs. Also, Speech competitions, poem recitations, and music competitions were organized.
Interdepartmental Rangoli competition was organized by 'Satkar' Tourism & Hospitality club of School of Hotel Management & Tourism. Students participated by the virtual model with great enthusiasm. Director of HM&T Dr. Palwinder Kumar motivated the students for their participation in the event.
In the cultural program organized by Desh Bhagat Radio, folk singer Sarbjeet Singh Rupal represented Punjab's culture by performing folk songs on Instagram live. RJ Lovely lady Sangmitra interviewed him on her famous radio show Citi life.
