Chandigarh Oct. 20, 2020:-- The department of Education of Desh Bhagat University organized webinar on the theme of 'Gurmat Ate Kirsani' in continuation with yearlong celebrations to commemorate the 400th birth anniversary of 9th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Teg Bhadaur Sahib Ji. More than 250 students participated in the event.
Dr. Sangram Singh, Assistant Professor Music, Desh Bhagat University, sung a Shabad 'Guru Teg Bhadur Simriye Ghar Nau Nidh Aawe Dhaye.'
The prominent speakers were Dr. Ranjit Kaur, Dharam Prachar Committee, SGPC, Sri Amritsar Sahib; she discussed the views of Sikh Gurus for farmers.
Dr. Rajpreet Singh Dhillon Secretary, academician, Gurdaspur and Dr. Hardeep Singh Toderpur President, Democratic Teachers Front Punjab, discussed 'Sikh Lehar ate Mojuda Kirsani da Sangarsh'.
Dr.Sukhbir Singh Panwan, General Attorney, SGPC, Sri Amritsar shared highlights of agriculture ordinance 2020.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, DBU, said that we should learn from the life, philosophy and teachings of Guruss and prayed that whole world should come out victorious in the fight against COVID-19.
Dr. Shalini Gupta, Vice Chancellor, DBU, discussed the teachings of Guru.
Dr.Surjeet Patheja, Director, University School of Education, DBU , thanked everyone for their contribution .
