Chandigarh Oct. 19, 2020:- An emergency meeting of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17 was held today in the leadership of Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, President of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17, members discussed about the safety of visitors & their shops due to expected rush in Sector 17 market during the upcoming Navratri, Dussehra, Karwa Chauth & Diwali Festivals.
Kamaljit Singh Panchhi urged the Administrator for installation of *A FIRE TENDER AND AMBULENCE SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY STALLED NEAR POLICE CHOWKI PLAZA SECTOR 17* to tackle any fire incident during these days. As the parkings are full during these days and in case of any such delicate situation, this will help in preventing any difficulty faced by the fire fighting vehicles to reach the destination.
K S Panchhi said that the lockdown has proved as a jolt to the business community. All the shopkeepers and traders are already suffering from huge losses as business were closed due to lockdown because of Covid-19 Pandemic. They have to start their business again by working hard & are not in position to face any further losses as everyone is struggling to meet expenses and any further incident will prove to be a back breaker of the business community.
LC Arora & Members of Association again requested to the Administrator take it on priority in the interest of traders who suffered the most during Corona Virus. Traders would not be able to bear the loss to this extent and it could be worse than Corona itself if any unfortunate fire incident happens.
