Chandigarh October 01, 2020:- Following the order of Honourable Punjab and Haryana High Court's order, the Transport department of Chandigarh Administration has ordered not to play Vulgar, Alcoholic and Weaponry in buses..
After the request letter by Petitioner Panditrao Dharenavar, Director, Transport department has physically verified and checked music systems in all the busses. In the written notice to bus conductors and drivers, Director has written that no Vulgar, Alcoholic and Weaponry songs will be played in buses and if any one violates the order will be delt with strict action.
After the Director's order, petitioner Panditrao Dharenavar thanked Home Secretary and Secretary, Transport and called for general public to follow the order of the Honourable Punjab and Haryana High Court's order.
On the basis of Panditrao Dharenacar's petition, Honourable Punjab and Haryana High Court has given directions on 22nd July 2019 that Alcoholic, drug and Violent songs have bad impact on youngsters therefore such songs can not be played anywhere even in live shows. The above order has been adopted and accepted by Punjab Transport department and Haryana department as well.
