Chandigarh, Sept.23, 2020:-The Punjab Youth Congress will organise a state wide '8 Vaje 8 Minute Mashal March' on September 24 to support the Punjab bandh call of farmers agitating against the anti-farmers bill passed by BJP-SAD led Narendra Modi govt on September 25. In a press statement, the president of Punjab Youth Congress Brinder Singh Dhillon said that the Punjab Youth Congress extends full support to the farmers organizations staging state wide dharnas against the bills. He said that the members of Youth Congress will perform duties during the dharns be it serving water, food or other things needed at the spot.
Brinder Dhillon said that Modi govt is hell bent on ruing the agriculture sector of the country by involving big busines houses in farming sector by passing the 3 black laws. He said that the privatisation of farming will lead to organized loss of state exchequer of around 8000 crores annually along with unaccounted loss through other means.
Brinder Singh Dhillon said that it is the height of arrogance of Narendra Modi that he is not ready to listen to the people who have made him what he is today. The voters of the country trusted his lies and bogus promises at the time of elections and voted him to the power but now he is ignoring the advises of same farmers, traders and small enterprisers. Modi must know that nothing is ever lasting and common people of the country are supreme so he must take back his 'Death warrant' passed against the farmers of the country.
Repeating his firm stand on the anti-farmer bills, Dhillon said that youth Congress will continue its fight against the anti-farmers and anti-people policies of Modi govt. He said that the Punjab Youth Congress strongly stand by the demands of the agitating farmers. The representatives of Youth Congress will sit on state wide dharnas with the farmers to oppose the bills.
