Chandigarh 13th May:- To mark birthday of Florence Nightingale, the lady symbolic of the Nursing Fraternity, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mohali celebrated 'International Nurses Day' at a hotel in Mohali last night.
The program started with a bandana dance and the pledge, where around 100 nurses from Max Hospital pledged to devote themselves to the betterment of nursing standards and upholding the dignity of the Nursing profession.
During occasion, Max Hospital nurses attired in colorful dresses and costumes walked the ramp like professional models. They also gave spectacular performance of Panjabi giddha folk dance. A talent hunts competition, Mr and Mrs Max contest was also held.
Sandeep Dogra, Senior Vice President and Zonal Head of Max Hospitals Punjab gave away special recognition awards to nurses for their exceptional contribution to their profession.
Sandeep Dogra said that Nursing has always been the backbone of the medical services. He lauded the devotion and unconditional caring that the nurses extended and said that the organization was proud to have a strong fraternity of Nurses.
Bindhu Joseph, Nursing Superintendent said that this day is meant for introspection of what can be done to overcome our weaknesses.
