Chandigarh's Monica Sachdeva Awarded with Gold Medal in MSW Exam of IGONU

Chandigarh 19th May:- Monica Sachdeva had been awarded the University Gold Medal for securing first position in the Master in Social Work (MSW) examination of The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The said examination was held in June 2015.

Er. Monica Sachdeva, who has been pursuing her Masters in Social Work  from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi through Open Distance learning Mode has been awarded a gold Medal along with AIR # 1 certificate for securing first position in the session 2013 to 2015 during the 30th Convocation of IGNOU. 

She had been studying in the study centre housed at USOL building, Panjab University.

Elated with joy, Monica Sachdeva shared that after the completion of her Engineering degree in 1998 and MBA course in 2000, she had enrolled for MSW in 2013, which was a paradigm shift from her mainstream subjects. She fell in love with this course and under the able guidance of her mentor, Dr. Monica Singh, she had qualified the prestigious National Eligibility test NET for Assistant Professorship in December, 2014 too. But,  an All india Rank #1 is a blessing , she is grateful to her Guru, God, parents and above all her three children .presently, She is working as a freelance career counselor besides working as  an Academic counselor teaching Social work in the same study centre , where she was once a student. This year has been blessed as she bagged first position with gold medal in Certificate course in Vivekananda Studies along worth fourth rank with distinction in PG Diploma in Statistics from Panjab University.
