Chandigarh 04th August:- Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology, Mohali today organized'AMBER' an exhibition of the creative facet of students at Kisan Bhavan, Chandigarh today. In exhibition, the various products and designs created by the students of Fashion Design, Textile Design, Garment Manufacturing Technology and Fashion Marketing and Management were put on display for sale. The exhibition showcases over 30 stalls of wide assortment of products for the buyers ranging from apparels, stoles, home furnishings, accessories and home decors etc.
Anita Kaushal, president of Vatika- A Society of Deaf & Dumb Students, Sect 19 who was chief guest at the program. She said that the work of the students is par excellence and they have a wide scope in the market.
Indu Malhotra, MD Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation & Director General, NIIFT said that the work of students is outstanding and they have really put in their best efforts by creating beautiful collections. These students have a lot of scope in the market and with their talent they can reach any limits.
Inderjit Singh, Director, NIIFT, Mohali said that such exhibitions plays are a platform for our students to uncover their best creations. The collections are very creative, original and visually pleasing.
Dr Poonam Aggarwal, Deputy Registrar, NIIFT, said that AMBER is one of the best laid out exhibition by NIIFT's existing students and Alumni and we are confident that these students will contribute highly to put Indian garment and textile industry on the world map.
Anirudh Tewari, Chairman, NIIFT and Principal Secretary, Dep't of Industries and Commerce, Punjab was also presented during occasion.
