Chandigarh 29th August:- Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, in association with Red Cross Society, Chandigarh a society recognized worldwide, took the initiative to host an interactive 5-Day First Aid Workshop at the Institute premises.
During the five days workshop, the emphasis would be on learning to deal with various emergencies that may happen to anyone in day to day life such as bleeding, burns, wounds, fracture, shock, choking, etc.
The entire workshop will be facilitated by Sushil Taank, training supervisor of Red cross society, Chandigarh who also will demonstrate the procedure to perform CPR, bandaging, transportation of injured etc. On successful completion of the said workshop, all the participants will be certified as "First Aiders" by Indian Red Cross Society.
Bharti Tyagi, Principal of AIHM Chandigarh, said that this is going to be a very useful learning experience wherein all the faculty and staff of the Institute will be equipped with required knowledge and skills to handle with emergencies. She is sure that they would take the maximum benefit from the workshop and apply the same whenever required.
