Chandigarh 21st July:- A Special Thematic drive under the theme "Honouring Municipal Workers, with citizens extending the hand of 'friendship' to all municipal workers working for Swachh Bharat Mission" has been conducted today by the sanitation wing of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh at various sectors including 15,16,18,19 & 20 in Chandigarh.
During the drive friendship bands were worn by the safai karamcharies whose work and conduct was good. They have taken keen interest in motivating people resorting to Open Defecation. They are actively taking part in triggering activities for Open Defecation Free Chandigarh. They will be honored on 30th July, 2016 at a medical camp at Civil dispensary Sector-8 Chandigarh.
