Debutante Aishwarya Khare is Zee TV’s Vishkanya

Chandigarh 11^th March:- She's grown up in a bubble, isolated from the rest of the world under the close surveillance of her Mother. Tutored at home, Appu has barely, if ever, stepped out of the boundaries of her lower middle class Bengali house. Oblivious to the poison running through her veins, she longs to live life in all its glory and is hopeful of a bright future. Little does she know that she is a mere pawn in a larger game her Mother is playing, that the poison she bears will be used, one day, as a weapon of revenge she seeks. Zee TV will soon bring to its viewers an extraordinary love story – Vishkanya. The show will revolve around the life of Appu (Aparajita Ghosh), who is from a lineage of Vishkanyas. Debutante Aishwarya Khare will be seen playing the role of the protagonist Appu.

Commenting on bagging the lead role, an excited Aishwarya shared that it's a dream come true.  She is absolutely delighted to play the part of Vishkanya. Actors spend years struggling to get a good role and here she is making her big foray on television as the protagonist of such a promising show on a leading television channel like Zee TV. She added that what she find interesting is that she's unaware of the poison she bears and is just an ordinary girl with normal dreams of leading a full life. The promo of Vishkanya has an element of mystique as you can only see her from behind and all she touches wilts and turns blue. It has really been well received by the audiences and there is so much buzz about the show that she already feel the pressure to deliver a great performance.

The show is conceptualized by Vivek Bahl and produced by Nisar Parvez and Alind Srivastava of Peninsula Pictures. Vishkanya's love story begins to unravel when their ultra-wealthy Marwari neighbours, the Mittals return to India after spending many years abroad. With his good looks and charm, their son Malay is the most eligible bachelor in Kolkata. He gets smitten by Appu as soon as he catches a glimpse of her. The show captures an impossible and complex fairytale romance of Appu & Malay - two people deeply in love. Will they be able to extricate themselves from this web of a curse and a dark past? Only time will tell.
