Chandigarh 04th February:- Universal Group of Institutions organized two days Aavishkaar - 2016 at its campus. The campus was buzzing with bright colors and enthusiastic faces of the participants and audience who were gripped by the excitement. More than 6,000 students from 50 colleges and schools of region are participating .The focus of this tech fest was to provide platform to bright young minds to contribute towards ensuring success of Make in India and Digital India campaigns of the government. Unique projects by the students were captivating the interest of the participants.
Governor, Punjab & Haryana, Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki, inaugurated Tech Fest. Overwhelming response was witnessed in the mega tech fest and was appreciated by the Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki . He advocated research and innovations at micro level for welfare of the society. He later, also launched "Universal Trophy for Excellence in Innovations & Technology". While motivating the students he said that students need to follow 7 S Skill ,Scale ,Speed ,Sincerity ,Seriousness ,Spiritual ,Socialness in their life to be successful in their life .
Guest of Honour Basanta Raj Kumar, Managing Director, Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board, Government of Punjab said at the moment that it is a great way of making one's mind work in a creative way as it's all about being sportive and facing competition.
Chairman, Universal Group, Dr. Gurpreet Singh announced creation of innovation fund to sponsor bright ideas from students, where every year the students will be honoured with the Trophy in the Tech Fest whose idea of Innovation is the best in implementation. He further said that college believes in the overall development of students and to kindle that knowledge, growth and excellence in all fields and to build general awareness technical awareness they strive for such tech fests are of paramount.
