Chandigarh 04th February:- Confederation of Indian Industry is going to sign a MoU with Himachal Pradesh Kushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN), on 8th February 2016 in Shimla. Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh will be present at the MoU signing ceremony being organised by CII.
Rajesh Sharma, Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh Kushal Vikas Nigam said that there is need for quality manpower in today's knowledge-based economy making skill development crucial to economic development. Hence it is imperative for state governments to take up such initiatives and Government of Himachal Pradesh, under the leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister has always been proactive on the subject of skill development. He added that in the present situation both the government and the industry have to come together to increase the level of skill development in the state. He also and applauded CII's commitment to partner with HPKVN in this initiative.
Elated about the MoU, Rajiv Aggarwal, Chairman, CII Himachal Pradesh State Council said that skill development is not an additional course that can be added to a university curriculum but it requires to be integrated into the training and education of the youth. This will make them readily employable. We appreciate this enormous initiative of Government of Himachal Pradesh and assure to extend our complete support to the government. Rajiv Aggarwal said that we sincerely appreciate the state government's efforts and I am sure Himachal Pradesh industry will witness a paradigm shift in the ability of employees hired thereafter.
