Ashita Dhawan to Play Character of Chachi Chulbuli in Kaala Teeka

Chandigarh 15^th February:- Zee TV's primetime offering Kaala Teeka, a poignant social drama that attempts to raise a voice against age-old superstitions, recently took a time leap of 14 years. New characters and new actors were introduced in the wake of this leap. Another interesting character joins the cast with the introduction of Chulbuli Chachi, a behenji whose gone 'mod'. Versatile actor Ashita Dhawan, known to have an uncanny knack of improvising and adding her own unique style to a character's mannerisms, look and style, has been roped in to bring in the comical element required for the role. Ashita is quite excited to portray the challenging character in the show.

On her role in Kaala Teeka, Ashita explained that she will be the spice of the show that will create all the fun and drama in the series. Her character Chulbuli who is Yug's (Played by Rohan Gandotra) Chachi will be a little over- the-top yet interesting. Chachi is an ultimate 'behenji turned mod' that has come from a humble background and due to a stroke of luck she ends up marrying in to a rich household. However, her mentality is still very middle-class. Her character isn't a negative one, but yes she will be creating trouble in a funny manner, something people will love to watch. As far as her look in the show is concerned, she will be wearing plain classic sarees with amazing borders and heavy blouses.

She further added that it feels wonderful to be associated with a show that delivers such a strong social message. She is equally excited to be working with Zee TV once again as she have done a couple of successful projects with the channel in the past.  Additionally, in the show, there are a lot of great actors and veterans around, so she is definitely going to learn something new each day on the sets. She is hoping that the audiences will like her in the new avatar.

In the upcoming episodes of Kaala Teeka, viewers will see Yug and Kaali coming face to face at her place. While Yug tries to interact with Kaali, she totally ignores him. On the other hand, Yug finds out that Kaali is protecting Gauri because of the superstitious belief; however Kaali says it's her love for Gauri and Badke Papa and nothing else. Will Yug be able to persuade Kaali in exposing Gauri to the world.
