Chandigarh 08th January:- The Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh Vijay Dev today released the Table Calendar – 2016 on the theme titled "Chandigarh – A Model Solar City" prepared by Chandigarh Renewal Energy, Science & Technology Promotion Society [CREST] for the year 2016. The Table Calendar is thematic with display of deployment of Solar Power Plants on different buildings of various wings of Administration like Courts, Model Schools, Hospitals, Colleges, homes etc.
On this occasion, Vijay Dev appreciated the efforts taken by CREST in publishing the Table Calendar for the year 2016 and expressed hope that this will help in sensitizing more & more people for use of solar energy in their day-to-day life.
Santosh Kumar, IFS, Director (S&T) & CEO,CREST informed that CREST organizes various extension activities to sensitize the masses, for promotion of Solar Energy by installing Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants in UT, Chandigarh & in this series ,CREST has prepared a Table Calendar-2016 on Solar theme. The Table Calendar comprises of pictures of various Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants installed at various Government buildings. The photographs have been taken through 'Drone Photography'.
