Police Arrested Third Accused Flee from Judicial Lock-up

Chandigarh 17^th November:- In a major achievement, the Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Shane Alam of Village & Police Station-Kiratpur, Mohalla-Mustian, District-Bijnour (UP) and Mohd of District-Bijnour, (UP).

While talking with media,DSP Jagbir Singh said that the accused Shane Alam escaped alongwith other three under trial accused persons from the Judicial Lock-up, District Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh on 23.09.2015. The accused were arrested from Ziri Mandi Chowk, Sector-39, Chandigarh. Both the accused were riding on motor cycle bearing registration No. PB-22-G-7498 make Pulsar-180 which was stolen from the area 40-C, Chandigarh.  He further said that this is the third arrest made by the Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police in under trial escaped case. Earlier, two escaped under trial prisoners Pankaj and Abrar Khan were also arrested.          

DSP Jagbir Singh said that during investigation both the accused disclosed that they have committed number of snatchings/thefts in the areas of Mohali, Panchkula and Chandigarh. A mobile handset make SAMSUNG Galaxy which was robbed by them from Mohali, Phase X has also been recovered from their possession. With the arrest of both the accused,five cases have been worked out.
