Chandigarh 17th November:- The 7th edition of 'India Cold-chain Expo–ICE-2015' is being organized in Chandigarh, City Beautiful. Being held at Hotel Park Plaza, Zirakpur, this two-day event is the only one in India where the entire community of Cold Chain comes together to be part of the process of defining the future of this industry.

The chief guest at the event Pawanexh Kohli, Chief Advisor & CEO, National Centre for Cold Chain Development (NCCD) said that today we stand here at the 7th edition of ICE which over the years has become the central stage of knowledge dissemination of the cold chain sector. NCCD takes the lead role in cold-chain development processes by providing guidance on policy matters and undertakes knowledge dissemination for ongoing demand driven activities.
Special guest Todd P. Haymore, Secretary of Agriculture & Forestry, Virginia Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, said that 30% of the food produced in India is wasted because of lack of Cold Chains. So, development of the Cold Chain Industry is significant to avoid such wastage.
This two-day exhibition with latest technology on display is beneficial for the cold storage owners, logistics and supply chain professionals dealing in temperature sensitive products.
