4 Day CII Chandigarh Fair to Commence on 06th November

Chandigarh 05th November:- The 20th CII Chandigarh Fair, all set to commence today (6th November 2015) at Parade Ground, Sector 17 Chandigarh is special and unique for more than one reasons. Not only will the tricity residents get to shop from the best variety of products with latest technologies at one platform and enjoy the special delicacies from North to south India, but they would also get to learn about the various Ayurvedic, Unani, Yogic, Siddha and Homeopathic therapies which can easily be practised at home. The visitors will benefit tremendously from various unique, herbal and natural AYUSH products, medicines, life giving therapies and products on display for the first time ever.

This is courtesy the participation of 8 departments of Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) in a big way. Their experts and senior representatives would propagate healthy eating practices and exercises and give LIVE demo of Yoga asanas and promote the strengths, efficacy and affordability of AYUSH as an effective alternative medicine for the first time ever at the CII Chandigarh Fair.

Further, they would also highlight the advancements in clinical practices, research and documentation, manufacturing and the processes involved in these systems of medicine in addition to the medicinal plants sector. AYUSH's participation assumes huge significance, considering the immense rise in need for 'Alternative Medicine'.

It would also feature free health check-ups, free distribution of medicines, yoga demonstrations, Prakriti Pariksha and Nadi Pariksha and free consultations by national level AYUSH experts and eminent doctors for public on management of various diseases like diabetes, skin diseases, stress, Geriatric diseases, Anaemia, heart problems, joint pains, lifestyle disorders etc through AYUSH therapies, cultivation of medicinal plants, yoga demonstration and counselling sessions.

Scheduled from 6-9 November, with Ample Furniture Mall and Paradigm Group as the event sponsors; NABARD as the as the event co-sponsor; Religare Health Insurance as the Principal Sponsor; Gupta Builders and Promoters (GBP Group), IOCL as Associate Sponsors; Bittu Fashioners, Bajwa Developers, SBI, and SBOP as the Associate Co-Sponsors and supported by National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), the four-day fair is special as it enters the 20th year and will be spread over 16,000 sqm,  hosting a record 400 exhibitors in 15 concurrent shows including Real Estate, Auto Show, Home Décor, Kitchenware, Consumer durables, Finmart, International Arcade, States of India, and, a new show Daksh India which would provide livelihood opportunities for small scale self-employed people living in the rural areas of India by helping them market their handicrafts.

Amarbir Singh, Chairman, CII Chandigarh Council said that fair will be formally inaugurated by  Vijay Kumar Dev, Adviser to the UT Administrator, at 2:30 pm today ( 6th Nov), the fair is all set to capture the nerve of family shoppers with large focus on interesting deals & discounts, free gifts, Diwali gifts, lucky draws and 360° promotions. He added that the fair will showcase a variety of products to choose from countries like Pakistan, Thailand, Korea, Chicago, UAE, etc besides finest products and consumer durables, glitzy gizmos of domestic and global top brands. He further informed that exclusive range of home appliances from Chicago, USA will add more spark to the fest, in addition to special quilts and blankets from Korea and carpets, handicrafts, utility items, home decoration furniture & furnishings, special dry fruits etc from UAE, and Thailand.
