Workshop on Environment Photography in PGI

Chandigarh 20th October:- PGI has taken an initiative in public interest by collaborating with a volunteer group 'Natural Biodiversity'. Under this initiative a series of workshops would be conducted on various themes like health and environment etc. First of this series was hosted on theme 'Photography in Environment and Climate'. Dr. Khandelwal, Head, Department of clinical photography was the chief coordinator who led team of Brij Lal and Kuldeep Soni from the department to make the workshop a success.

Keynote speakers Kulbhushan Kanwar, Sarabjit Pandher, Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh had swayed the gathering of photography enthusiasts with their work, tips, and tricks in photography.

Kulbhushan Kanwar said that even color of clothes matter when you try to click the butterflies. Sarabjit Pandher enthralled with his skills in landscape photography. Jeesu Jaskanwar took the workshop to a new level by inspiring the attendees to record short videos. He struck the chord in such a way that participants proposed this as a topic of next workshop. Navtej Singh shared his experiences.

Dr. Bhavneet from PGI raised the question about knowledge and skills of a common man. She pointed out that there should be a platform where one can seek information about birds etc.

Responding to this Arun Bansal said that Natural Biodiversity group was collaborating with other groups/resources to cater to the need. The workshop ended on a high note with screening of photographs clicked by the participants.
