Haryana Government Has Exceeded Expectations:CII

Chandigarh 21st October:- Appreciating the efforts and unique initiatives in the first year of the Haryana Govt led by Manohar Lal, apex Industry body, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said that the Government has exceeded our expectations and has achieved more in the first year than any other state government has achieved in its first year as far as revival of investor confidence and implementation of new programs for citizens' welfare are concerned.

Shreekant Somany, Chairman, CII NR & CMD Somany Ceramics Ltd shared that in its first year which has been an action-packed one, the Government led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal has turned around investor sentiments by laying much needed thrust on transparency, ease of doing business, effective single window clearance mechanism, support to MSMEs, skilling, R&D, and rationalization of labour laws etc besides devising a progressive Industrial Policy. Shreekant Somany added that the Govt's sound intent to create an eco-system with 'minimum government and maximum governance', ensure time bound clearances, effective grievance redressal system and enhance ease of doing business in the state, as is clear from various policy initiatives will go a long way in attracting unprecedented investments in Haryana in the next couple of years and in turn, ensure the overall socio-economic development of the state. As CII, we believe that this is a shared responsibility and industry must play its part. We are committed to ensure that industry's commitment is well delivered.

 He further said that during this year, CII signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Women and Child Development (WCD) Department, Government of Haryana to promote Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign with a focus on PPP for gender, education and health systems strengthening in the state of Haryana through the route of CSR initiatives from corporate and industry members of CII in the state reinforcing commitment of CII's members towards the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.

Sameer Munjal, Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Managing Director, Satyam Auto Components Ltd shared that CII congratulates the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana for giving impetus to such an important campaign like 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' which is an important initiative towards survival, protection and empowerment of the girl child especially for our state, Haryana. 

Rajiv Gandhi, Vice Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki I Ltd opined that the government has created a balanced environment by strengthening both economic and social factors for the overall development of the state. The Enterprises Promotion Policy is positive and competitive as it focuses on attracting investments & retaining the existing investments by leveraging its strengths through sustained and aggressive promotional strategies.
