Adviser Inaugurates Govt. Model High School in pocket No.-8, Manimajra

Chandigarh 18th October:- The Adviser to the Administrator UT Chandigarh Vijay Dev, inaugurated today Govt. Model High School in pocket No.-8 Manimajra, Chandigarh. Sarvjit Singh, Finance and Education Secretary, Rubinderjit Singh Brar, DPI Schools, S.K. Chadha, Chief Engineer, Kapil Setia, Chief Architect and other senior officials of the administration were also present.

Speaking on the occasion Vijay Dev, congratulated the administration for their efforts towards giving the quality education in the U.T. Chandigarh by opening the beautiful designed proper ventilated school building in Chandigarh. It was the long pending demand of the residents of this locality which has been fulfilled today. He shared that education is a vital element in shaping a kid's personality and imbibing good values and tradition. A child when educated in the right manner has the power to change the present and the future. He said there was no better investment that the individuals, parents and nation can make than an investment in education of the highest possible quality. He concluded by saying that the opening of a school not only open ups the path to knowledge for a child, but also opens up several good opportunities for the people of that area. 

Sarvjit Singh Education Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh, said that it is a proud moment to see the administration taking such initiatives to open up new schools in Chandigarh especially in the periphery areas of Chandigarh like Manimajra.  He further added that there is a need to give good sports environment to our future generations by opening up new stadiums and opening up grounds of various schools in the evening hours.  He further clarified that the efforts of the administration to give good and quality education in schools in the morning and in the afternoon the students of the surrounding areas could come to play in the courts and grounds of different Govt. schools.
