Chandigarh 10th September:- Dr Aman Sharma, Associate Professor, Rheumatology wing of the department of Internal Medicine, has been nominated to be a member of the Organizing committee of the Annual Conference of American College of Rheumatology to be held at Washington in 2016. This was announced by Prof William St Clair, President of the American College of Rheumatology during the dinner hosted by the ACR during the APLAR conference held at Chennai.
Prof Aman Sharma has been working in the field of vasculitis and relapsing polychondritis and is a member of the ACR/ EULAR study gropu which is trying to develop the diagnostic and classification criteria of systemic vasculitis. Dr Aman also delivered the prestigious IRA oration during this conference and presented his teams work in the area of systemic vasculitis. He has been awared by IRA with IRA and Zydus oration and by the Association of physicians of India with Shurvirtrust visiting professorship and Rethinavelu Subramanium endowment oration.
Dr Aman Sharma is the first ever Indian Rheumatologist to be nominated to be a part of the ACR organizing committee.
