Chandigarh 10th September:- The Department of Computer Science and Applications, MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organized the ITech Fiesta 2015 sponsored by Infomaths to showcase the budding talent of young computer enthusiasts. Various competitions such as Poster Making, Cartooning, PowerPoint Presentations, e-waste model making, movie making, IT based Rangoli, skits and dances were held.
The event kicked off with a lecture on Vedic Maths by Ms. Arpana from Infomaths. The students participated in the event with utmost zeal and exhibited awe-inspiring creativity. Kanika Trehan, BCA II and Shreya B.Sc. II bagged the first and second prize in PowerPoint Competition. Ishita, BCA I and Priyanka B.Sc. I won the Poster making contest while Urvashi, BCA III and Ishita BCA I were adjudged first and second respectively in Cartooning category. The thoughtful e-waste models created by Amanjot, B.Sc. III and Ridham BCA III bagged them the first and second prizes respectively. The prizes for movie making went to Apoorva and Jasmeet of BCA III.
Applauding the endeavor the Principal of MCM, Ms. Neena Dhawan said that such diligent endeavours are imperative to all round development of students. She encouraged the girls to make the most of these opportunities.
