Chandigarh 14th September:- CGC Jhanjeri organized an Industrial visit for Engineering Students to Ultratech Concrete Plant. It was an Eye opening and practical experience for students, in which they experience about the complete working of the plant. This Multinational Company manufacturing concrete and other raw material for building construction.
Er. Baljinderpal Singh, Asst. Manager and Er. Devinder Kumar, Quality Control Incharge explained the process of manufacturing ready mix concrete through a well prepared presentation. The Students visited concrete labs and the entire plant possessing latest machines which are generally not available in any college Later, the safety precautions to be taken in the plant were also explained to the students
While speaking at this occasion Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that through this visit students from various streams could assess their industry readiness and check calibrate of their aspirations meter. Such visits also enable the students to understand, appreciate working opportunities & the challenges associated with it. He further added that Practical learning is extremely helpful in understanding what they study in classes.
