Chandigarh 24th April:- Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri organized Annual Prize Distribution function in which the meritorious students are honored with certificates of excellence as well as cash prizes on the basis of their academic achievement in PTU's Exams. Besides this Mohd. Adnan, Shubham Khajuria, Jaspreet Singh and Tanvi Sharma were awarded Laptops for bagging first positions in PTU. As many as 24 Students are awarded rupees 5000 cash prizes each for capturing positions in the Merit Lists of PTU. Apart from this, 251 students securing first, second or third position in their respective classes & all the students securing 80% or more marks in PTU exams are given certificates of excellence & cash prizes of rupees 2000.
While congratulating the prize winners, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that this enviable achievement is the result of the consistent efforts put in by the faculty & the students as well. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General, CGC said that CGC believes in overall personality growth of students, so, on one hand students are given lucrative incentives for academic performance and, on the other, equal importance is given to sports & other co-curricular activities.
