PGI To organise Health Symposium on “Health Informatics: Opportunities and Challenges”

Chandigarh 05th March:- To develop synergies for utilization of the full potential of information technology for betterment of health in India School of Public Health, PGI, Chandigarh, in collaboration with PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh and Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Mohali is organizing the first Public Health Symposium on "Health Informatics: Opportunities and Challenges" on 7th and 8th March, 2015 at Chandigarh. Around 80 participants and experts from National Informatics Center, National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Central Scientific Institute Organization, Indian Space Research Organization, and other engineering and medical institutes from all over the country shall attend the symposium.

The event shall bring together health professionals and information technology experts on common platform to develop synergies for utilization of the full potential of information technology for betterment of health in India.

Presentations and deliberations shall focus on challenges and opportunities in public health informatics, electronic health records (EHR), Hospital Information Systems, mHealth, telemedicine, geographic information system (GIS), and data analysis and mining.
