CMA & Aryans Organize Prof. S.P. Singh Memorial Seminar

Chandigarh 1st October:- Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) & Aryans Group of Colleges organized Prof. S.P Singh Memorial seminar on "Role of Educational Institutions: Skilling Youth for Employability and Entrepreneurship" at PHD Chamber, Chandigarh.  Rakesh Verma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Punjab, was the Chief Guest whereas; Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, CMA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event. Many academicians, industrialists and professionals were also present at the event. The seminar was initiated with a tribute ceremony to Management guru Late Prof. Satya Prakash Singh (1942–2009), Former Dean & Chairman, University Business School (UBS), PU; Mentor, Aryans Group of Colleges; Past President, CMA.

Rakesh Verma, IAS said that,the market today is filled with educated and unemployed youth, it is imperative today, that the students either possess skills to be employable or to be an entrepreneur, which is a new and major role for the educational institutions.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group further shared his thoughts on how an educational institution could provide better learning and effective entrepreneurial or employability skills to the youth, workshops, trainings and industrial regime were few of the mentioned methods.

 

Dalip Sharma, while speaking on the occasion said that in today's competitive world, every company expects it's newly hired employees to do their job on the day one itself rather than spending time to provide them training. He added that the individuals are expected to come out with their own bright ideas, only then they can survive in the industry.
