Finance & Contract Committee Meeting of MC Held

Chandigarh 11^th September:-The weekly carnival on every Saturday and Sunday at the sector 17 Plaza to be started but the stage should be shifted from the present site to the newly developed green space and reference be sent to chief architect for necessary approval. This has been decided during the meeting of The Finance and Contract Committee of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh. The Committee has also discussed many other agendas.

 

While giving detail about the F&CC meeting official spokesperson said that the committee accorded approval to the agenda item regarding policy for imposing of service tax on paid parking areas as earlier fixed charges i.e. Rs. 5 for four wheeler (Rs. 4.45/- charges & Rs. 0.55 Service tax) and Rs. 2 for two wheeler (Rs. 1.78 charges & Rs. 0.22 Service Tax). The committee has also unanimously sanctioned the purchase of Anti Rabies serum on ESIC Central Rate Contract. The committee approved the agenda item regarding hiring of tractor trolleys to control dog menace. The committee also approved rough Cost Estimate for special repair of back service lanes in sector 8-A, B & C, Chandigarh. The committee accorded approval for leasing out of Mango Garden along Purv Marg touching sector 28-29 and Industrial area, Phase-I. The committee accorded approval to engage field staff on outsource basis for electrical wing, MC.
