Chandigarh 15th June:- The Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Bhiwani has convicted Head Constable Kundan Lal, in a bribery case registered against him under Prevention of Corruption Act on September 24, 2012.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Vigilance Bureau said that the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Bhiwani has convicted Kundan Lal, Head Constable in District Police, Bhiwani to undergo three years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs. 4000 in a bribe case. The accused was caught red handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 20,000 from complainant Dharmbir Singh, a resident of Gudana, district Bhiwani. Case had been registered against him at Bureau's Police Station, Hisar, he added. He said that meanwhile, the Bureau has caught Mukesh Kumar, Clerk posted in Chief Medical Officer, Hisar red handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 4000 from Pawan Kumar, a resident of Bagla, tehsil Adampur, district Hisar for preparation of birth certificate. He said that a case under section 7, 13, 49 and 88 of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused in Bureau Police Station at Hisar. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
