DELHI WAVERIDERS Gears Up For Season-2 of Hockey India League

Chandigarh 22nd January:-- Delhi WAVERIDERS, the Delhi franchise of Hockey India League (HIL), has geared up for the second season of the League with new faces, new vigour and additional commitment to bring home the HIL 2014 Cup. With eight new players and a new coach the team is the perfect blend to represent the capital.  For the 2014 edition, the team now has on board- actor and producer, John Abraham as the co-owner of the Delhi WAVERIDERS team. Driven by his passion for sports and hockey in particular, John Abraham is the perfect face for the Delhi Waveriders team, which swears by their slogan "Live Hockey, Love Hockey". Cedric D'souza, who is the new Chief Coach of Delhi WAVERDIDERS Team, has a versatile coaching experience in both domestic as well as international arena. Cedric D'souza has brought with him, dedication and spontaneity in team and has been instrumental in bringing international experts into the Delhi franchise. An ardent coach, his discipline for fitness, technique and mental toughness makes him one of the most sought after coaches in Hockey India League. With Cedric as the Chief Coach the Delhi WAVERIDERS team is expected to go all out and make this season more exciting. The Delhi WAVERIDERS team stand for dynamism and passion and the team's main aim is to bring back the true spirit of the game. Under the able guidance of Team Chief Advisor - Ajit Pal Singh, Chief Coach - Cedric D'souza, Assistant Coach - Bartel Berkhout and Team Captain - Sardar Singh, Delhi WAVERIDERS is ready to bring in the trophy this year The Hockey India League is scheduled to commence from January 25 and would go on till February 23, 2014, with the six teams competing against each other. The opening match of the second season would take place in Mohali on January 25, 2014, where the team is all set to create a rumble in the ground where they come face to face with Jaypee Punjab Warriors.
