CII Yi Holds Fund Raiser Marathon in Mohali

Chandigarh 19th January:-- Young Indians (Yi) Chandigarh Tricity chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), as part of National Volunteering Week organized a CII Yi Running Marathon started from The Millennium School. About 1200 participants from various tricity viz The Millennium School, Vivek High School, Ryan International School, Gurukul Global School, Paragon School, Govt Model Sr Secondary Schools and from various corporates like Graycell Technologies and Innovative Financial management etc and various colleges & ran in this Marathon which moved across Sectors 66, 67, 68 and then ended at The Millennium School (TMS). There were four categories 1.5 Km for under 10 age group students, 2 Km for under 12 age group students, 3 Km for under 15 age group students and 4 Km for above 16 age group students in the marathon.Various cash prizes were also awarded to the top 6 winners in all categories. 

Robin Aggarwal, Chairman, CII Yi Chandigarh Tricity chapter and Director, The Millennium School. Said that he funds raised will be utilised to provide for more and more books, games, computers, toys, eatables, fruits and organising various learning sessions and skill building workshops for children on regular basis. A child cannot learn on an empty stomach. Children need good education and proper nutrition as well. Hence, Yi Chandigarh organised this marathon.
