Mohali,19th December:-- Rockstar Academy, of dance, music and modeling celebrated its 14th Anniversary at its The British School, Sector 70, Mohali, branch. There was a unique aspect associated with the celebration. The academy's young Founder Sameer Mahajan, decided to add benevolence to the festivity. The gathering at the venue could be termed as 'Dance, Dine & Donate Party'.
Sameer Mahajan, said that he had started Rockstar with the grace of God now Rockstar has as many as 10 branches in tri-city, Ambala and Kharar. I have always been inclined towards charity and wanted to celebrate by doing something for less privileged people of society. Adds Sameer, that Rockstar is also going to organize a mega Dance Cum Fancy Dress competition in the Auditorium of Vivek High School, Sec 38, Chandigarh on December 22. The same is being put together in support of Blind School, Sec 26, Chandigarh. The event is being organized in association with The British School, Mohali.
Parents of the academy's students came forward in large numbers to donate, needful items for the underprivileged segment of society. The donations will go to two NGOs, namely Satya Yuva Sangh and Jeevan Mukt Nishulk Vidyalaya. Utility items for the deprived and the poor like old clothes, old shoes, used books, discarded crockery & utensils, old linen, blankets etc were collected. Meanwhile, as many as 300 children aged between 3 and 15 years, who are students at the academy, entertained the parents and audience with their dances. The girl students who were dressed in Pink while the boy students attired in Blue set the dance floor in the auditorium of on fire, by their dance items.
