Municipal Corporation's Enforcement committee meeting held

Chandigarh, 08 July: -- Enforcement committee of Municipal Corp.Chandigarh's meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Devesh Moudgil. During the meeting it was discussed at large that the enforcement wing of MC would be strengthened by providing more manpower, extra police force and infrastructure keeping in view the markets and population of the city. It was also discussed that wireless sets would be provided to the inspectors and sub inspectors of enforcement wing having latest facilities.

The committee members asked the enforcement inspectors to keep vigil in all the markets of the city so that encroachments can not take place again and again in the same premises. The members were also of the view that the dumped vehicles in the enforcement store for a long time in industrial area ph-I be auctioned by following the pattern of police lines.

The committee members suggested that surprise raids should be maid in the sensitive areas and videography will be done in all the areas of city. The members were of the view that infront or opposite house numbers should be mentioned in the challan from where the violation has been removed.

The members suggested that warnings should be issued to vendors who
sell food items in night time for upkeep of sanitation in their surroundings. The members suggested that proper agenda item be
prepared regarding setting up of enforcement beat boxes in sector 17, 19 and 22 for standing duty staff of enforcement wing, MC.

Other members who were present during the meeting were including Satinder Singh, Pardeep Chhabra, M.P. Kohli, Mukesh Bassi,  Malkiat Singh, Mrs. Raj Bala Malik, Surinder Bahga, Sunil Bhatia, Additional Commissioner and other concerned staff members.
